6. Troubleshooting
Problem | Possible Cause | Solution |
---|---|---|
No power / Device won't turn on. | Battery is depleted. | Charge the battery fully using the provided USB cable. |
Poor reception / Static. | Weak signal; Antenna not properly connected or extended; Interference. | Extend the telescopic antenna fully or connect the loop antenna. Try repositioning the radio. Check for nearby electronic devices causing interference. Adjust squelch settings. |
Tuning knob direction is reversed. | Encoder reverse setting is enabled. | Go to SETUP menu and change the "Encode reverse" setting. |
Digital whine / Self-interference. | Grounding issue; Internal RFI. | Ensure proper grounding of the antenna jack. Consider using a common mode choke or transformer at the input if using an external antenna. This issue may require advanced hobbyist knowledge. |
Cannot find stations with seek function. | Low signal strength; Seek sensitivity setting. | Ensure you are in an area with adequate signal. Check firmware version for enhanced seek sensitivity. |
