4. Setup & Installation
The FREELICHT recessed lights are designed for easy installation without the need for a traditional recessed can. Follow these steps for a quick and secure setup:
- Prepare the Ceiling: Ensure the power is turned off at the circuit breaker before beginning installation. Use the provided cut-out template to mark the desired hole location on your ceiling.
- Cut the Hole: Using a suitable hole saw, cut a 6.33-inch diameter hole in the marked location. The ultra-thin design allows installation in ceiling spaces as small as 2 inches, fitting soffit, single, and double drywall ceilings, and can be installed around joists.
- Connect Wiring: Open the junction box and connect the household wiring to the quick connectors inside the box. Ensure proper polarity (Live to Live, Neutral to Neutral, Ground to Ground). Secure the wiring connections.
- Connect Light Panel: Connect the cable from the LED light panel to the junction box.
- Mount Light: Push the spring clips on the sides of the light panel upwards and insert the light into the ceiling hole. The clips will automatically secure the light in place against the ceiling.

5.1. 5 CCT (Correlated Color Temperature) Selection
Each light fixture is equipped with a switch on the junction box that allows you to select one of five color temperatures:
