Setup
1. Powering the Main Unit
- Connect the provided power adapter to the DC IN port on the back of the main unit.
- Plug the power adapter into a standard electrical outlet.
- (Optional) For backup power, open the battery compartment on the back of the main unit and insert 3 x AAA batteries (not included), observing polarity (+/-).
2. Powering the Wireless Outdoor Sensor
- Open the battery compartment on the back of the wireless outdoor sensor.
- Insert 2 x AA batteries (not included), observing polarity (+/-).
- Close the battery compartment securely.
3. Initial Synchronization
Once both units are powered, the main unit will automatically begin searching for the outdoor sensor signal. This may take a few minutes. Ensure both units are within range of each other during this process.
- Place the outdoor sensor in a shaded, protected location away from direct sunlight and precipitation for accurate readings.
- Avoid placing the sensor near large metal objects or electronic devices that may interfere with the wireless signal.

Operating Instructions
Atomic Clock Synchronization (WWVB)
The weather station is equipped with an atomic clock that automatically synchronizes with the WWVB signal for precise timekeeping. This process typically occurs overnight.
- Ensure the main unit is placed in an area with good reception, away from electronic interference.
- The atomic clock icon on the display will indicate successful synchronization.

Figure 4: This image focuses on the time display section of the weather station, illustrating how the atomic clock automatically synchronizes with the WWVB signal each morning to ensure accurate time calibration.
Adjusting Backlight
The color display features an adjustable backlight for optimal viewing in various lighting conditions.
- When powered by the adapter, the backlight can be set to one of three adjustable levels (100%, 50%, 0%).
- When operating on battery power, tapping a button will illuminate the backlight for 15 seconds to conserve energy.

Figure 5: This diagram illustrates the three adjustable backlight levels (100%, 50%, and 0%) available when the main unit is connected to a power supply. It also shows that when on battery power, a tap activates the backlight for 15 seconds.
Weather Forecast
The weather station provides a forecast based on changes in atmospheric pressure. The forecast icons represent anticipated weather conditions for the next 12-24 hours.

Figure 6: Displays the various weather forecast icons used by the station, including Sunny, Slightly Cloudy, Cloudy, Rainy, Heavy Rainy, and Snowy, providing a visual representation of predicted weather conditions.
Setting Time, Date, and Alarm
Refer to the detailed instructions in the included printed manual for specific button functions and step-by-step procedures to manually set the time, date, and alarm if needed, or to adjust time zone settings.
Maintenance
- Cleaning: Wipe the main unit and sensor with a soft, damp cloth. Do not use abrasive cleaners or solvents.
- Battery Replacement: Replace batteries in both the main unit (if using backup) and the outdoor sensor when the low battery indicator appears on the display.
- Sensor Placement: Periodically check the outdoor sensor's placement to ensure it remains protected from extreme weather and direct sunlight.
