Setup

1. Assembling the Rack

Carefully unpack all frame components. Assemble the 4-post rack according to the included diagram, ensuring all clamps and bolts are securely tightened. The rack provides the foundational support for all drum and cymbal pads.

2. Attaching Pads and Cymbals

Attach the snare, tom pads, and cymbal pads to the rack using the provided mounts. Position them ergonomically for comfortable playing. Ensure the mesh heads are facing upwards and the cymbal arms are angled appropriately.

  • Snare Pad: Mount the 10" dual-zone snare pad to the designated arm.

3. Connecting the Module

Mount the Commander 25 sound module to the rack. Connect each drum pad and cymbal to the corresponding input on the module using the provided cables. Refer to the module's input labels for correct connections (e.g., SN for snare, T1 for Tom 1, HH for Hi-Hat, etc.).

  • Power: Connect the power adapter to the DC IN port and then to a power outlet.
  • Audio Output: Connect headphones to the headphone output (dual outputs available) or connect to an amplifier/speaker system via the L/MONO and R OUTPUT jacks.

1. Commander 25 Module Overview

2. Basic Operation

  • Power On/Off: Press the ON/OFF button located on the rear of the module.
  • Volume Control: Use the large VOLUME knob to adjust the overall output level.
  • Kit Selection: Press the KIT button and use the +/- buttons or the ADJUST knob to cycle through the 22 preset drum kits or your 10 custom user kits.
  • Voice Selection: Press the VOICE button, then strike a pad to select it. Use the +/- buttons or ADJUST knob to change the voice assigned to that pad.
  • Song Playback: Press the SONG button to enter song mode. Use the +/- buttons or ADJUST knob to select a backing track. Press SONG START/STOP to play or pause.
  • Metronome (Click): Press the CLICK button to activate the metronome. Use TEMPO ADJUST to change the tempo.
  • Recording: Press RECORD START/STOP to begin recording your performance. Press again to stop. Use PLAYBACK START/STOP to listen to your recorded track.
