This manual provides essential information for the safe and efficient operation of your Shogoody 18L Autoclave Steam Sterilizer, model STE-18-E. Please read this manual thoroughly before initial use to ensure proper setup, operation, and maintenance. Retain this manual for future reference.

The Shogoody STE-18-E is designed for steam sterilization of various materials, offering reliable performance for laboratory and industrial applications. It features adjustable sterilization and drying times, along with temperature and pressure overload protection, and a pressure safety lock.

2. Safety Information

Always observe the following safety precautions to prevent injury or damage to the unit:

  • Ensure the autoclave is placed on a stable, level surface.
  • Connect the unit to a grounded power outlet with the correct voltage (220-240 V/50Hz or 110-120V/60Hz).
  • Never open the door during a sterilization cycle or when the chamber is pressurized. The pressure safety lock prevents this when pressure is above 0.
  • Use distilled or deionized water only to prevent mineral buildup and damage.
  • Wear appropriate personal protective equipment (PPE), such as heat-resistant gloves, when handling hot items or surfaces.
  • Ensure the exhaust tube is properly connected before operation.
  • Do not block ventilation openings.
