4. Setup Instructions

No additional tools are required for assembly. Each part is marked with a number for easy identification. Follow these steps for installation:

  1. Assemble the Frame: Connect the steel frame poles using the T-connectors. Ensure that the protruding spring on each pole snaps securely into the corresponding hole on the connector. The frame is designed for stability with 3.8 cm diameter and 1.2 mm thick pillars.
  2. Attach the Cover: Drape the UV-resistant and waterproof tarp cover over the assembled frame. Ensure it is centered and evenly distributed.
  3. Secure the Cover: Pass the elastic cords through the designated holes on the cover and around the frame poles to secure the cover tightly. Utilize the fixing buckles to further secure the cover, especially around the roll-up door areas.
  4. Install Ground Nails: Use the provided ground nails/stakes to anchor the shelter firmly to the ground. This enhances stability and resistance against wind.

6. Maintenance

  • Cleaning: Clean the tarp cover periodically with mild soap and water. Avoid harsh chemicals or abrasive cleaners that could damage the material.
  • Frame Inspection: Regularly check the steel frame for any signs of rust, corrosion, or loose connections. The powder-coated finish is designed to resist rust, but prolonged exposure to moisture can still cause issues.
  • Cover Inspection: Inspect the tarp cover for tears, punctures, or excessive wear. Small damages can be repaired with appropriate patch kits to maintain waterproofing.
  • Ground Anchors: Ensure ground nails/stakes remain firmly in place, especially after strong winds. Re-secure if necessary.
  • Winter Storage: In areas with heavy snowfall, it is recommended to remove snow accumulation from the roof to prevent structural damage. For prolonged periods of severe winter weather, consider disassembling and storing the shelter indoors.

7. Troubleshooting

  • Shelter Instability:
    • Ensure all frame connections are fully snapped into place.
    • Verify that the cover is taut and evenly secured with elastic cords and buckles.
    • Check that ground nails are firmly anchored into stable ground.
    • Relocate the shelter to a more level surface if necessary.
  • Water Leakage:
    • Inspect the tarp cover for any tears or punctures. Repair with a waterproof patch kit.
    • Ensure the cover is properly tensioned to allow water runoff and prevent pooling.
    • Check zipper closures for complete sealing.
  • Difficulty with Zipper:
    • Ensure the zipper path is clear of fabric or debris.
    • Apply a silicone-based lubricant to the zipper teeth if it is stiff.
    • Avoid forcing the zipper if it snags.
