Setup and Installation
Proper installation is crucial for the safe and efficient operation of your water heater. It is recommended that installation be performed by a qualified professional.
1. Location Selection
- Choose a location that is protected from freezing temperatures.
- Ensure adequate clearance for maintenance and service.
- The unit can be floor mounted.
2. Plumbing Connections
- Connect the cold water supply to the inlet (blue marking) and the hot water outlet (red marking) using 3/4" NPT fittings.
- Install the provided Temperature & Pressure (T&P) relief valve into the designated port on the top of the heater. Ensure the discharge pipe from the T&P valve is routed to an open drain.
- Flush the tank thoroughly before connecting to the hot water system.
3. Electrical Connections
- This unit requires a 120V AC, 1500W power supply.
- A dedicated 15AMP circuit breaker is recommended.
- All electrical wiring must comply with local electrical codes and regulations.
- Access the electrical junction box for wiring connections.
