  • Read all instructions carefully before operating the appliance.
  • Do not touch hot surfaces. Use handles or knobs.
  • To protect against electrical shock, do not immerse the cord, plugs, or the main unit in water or other liquid.

  • Do not place on or near a hot gas or electric burner, or in a heated oven.
  • Extreme caution must be used when moving an appliance containing hot oil or other hot liquids.
  • Always attach plug to appliance first, then plug cord into the wall outlet. To disconnect, turn any control to 'off', then remove plug from wall outlet.
  • Do not use appliance for other than intended use.
  • This appliance cooks under pressure. Improper use may result in scalding injury. Make certain unit is properly closed before operating. See 'Operating Instructions'.
  • Never force open the pressure cooker. Do not open until the unit has cooled and internal pressure has been released. See 'Operating Instructions'.
  • Do not fill the unit over 2/3 full. When cooking foods that expand during cooking, such as rice or dehydrated vegetables, do not fill the unit over 1/2 full. Overfilling may cause a risk of clogging the vent pipe and developing excess pressure.
  • Be aware that certain foods, such as applesauce, cranberries, pearl barley, oatmeal or other cereals, split peas, noodles, macaroni, rhubarb, or spaghetti can foam, froth, and sputter, and clog the pressure release device. These foods should not be cooked in a pressure cooker.

  • Keep the appliance away from water sources and flammable materials.

4.4 Power Connection

5. Operating Instructions

5.1 Opening and Closing the Lid

  • To Open: Hold the lid handle, turn it counter-clockwise until it aligns with the unlock symbol, then lift the lid.
  • To Close: Place the lid on the cooker, aligning the lid handle with the unlock symbol. Press down gently and turn clockwise until it aligns with the lock symbol. Ensure the lid is securely locked before starting any cooking program. The cooker features a lid lock for safety.

5.2 Adding Ingredients

  • Place the inner pot into the main unit.
  • Add your ingredients and liquid to the inner pot. Do not exceed the MAX fill line (2/3 full for most foods, 1/2 full for expanding foods like rice).

5.3 Selecting a Cooking Program

The control panel is touch-sensitive and offers various preset programs:

  1. Ensure the lid is closed and locked, and the pressure release valve is in the 'Sealing' position (if applicable, or follow specific model instructions for valve position).
  2. Press the desired function button on the control panel (e.g., RICE, SOUP, MEAT, STEAM, STEW).
  3. The display will show a default cooking time. Use the '+' and '-' buttons to adjust the cooking time if needed.
  4. The cooker will automatically begin the preheating process, then build pressure, and finally start the cooking countdown.

5.4 Using the Timer Function

  • After selecting a cooking program and adjusting the time, you can press the 'TIMER' button to set a delayed start time.
  • Use the '+' and '-' buttons to set the delay time. The cooker will start cooking after the set delay.

5.5 Pressure Release

Once cooking is complete, the cooker will beep and may switch to a 'Keep Warm' mode. There are two methods for releasing pressure:

  • Natural Release: Allow the pressure to dissipate naturally. This can take 10-30 minutes or more, depending on the food and liquid volume. The float valve will drop when pressure is fully released.
  • Quick Release: Carefully turn the pressure release valve to the 'Venting' position. Steam will rapidly escape. Keep hands and face away from the steam. Only use quick release for recipes that specify it, or for foods that are not prone to foaming.

Never attempt to open the lid until the float valve has dropped, indicating all internal pressure has been released.

6. Maintenance and Cleaning

Proper cleaning and maintenance ensure the longevity and safe operation of your pressure cooker.

6.1 General Cleaning

  • Always unplug the cooker and allow it to cool completely before cleaning.
  • Inner Pot: Wash with warm, soapy water and a non-abrasive sponge. Rinse and dry thoroughly.
  • Lid: Wash the lid, including the sealing gasket and pressure release valve assembly, with warm, soapy water. Ensure no food particles are lodged in the valves. Rinse and dry.
  • Main Unit: Wipe the exterior with a damp cloth. Do not immerse the main unit in water or any other liquid.
  • Note: This appliance is not dishwasher safe. Hand wash all removable parts.

6.2 Gasket Maintenance

  • Regularly inspect the sealing gasket for cracks, deformation, or damage. Replace if necessary to maintain proper pressure sealing.

6.3 Storage

  • Store the clean and dry pressure cooker in a cool, dry place.
  • For best results, store the lid inverted on the inner pot to prevent the gasket from compressing and losing its shape.
