Battery Installation

The camera requires AA batteries for operation. It can function with 4 batteries but supports up to 8 for extended use.

  1. Open the camera casing.
  2. Locate the battery compartment.
  3. Insert 4 or 8 AA batteries, ensuring correct polarity (+/-).
  4. Close the battery compartment securely.

SD Card Insertion

The camera comes with a 32GB memory card. Insert it into the designated slot.

  1. Locate the SD card slot on the side of the camera's internal panel.
  2. Insert the provided 32GB memory card until it clicks into place.

Initial Power On and Basic Settings

To access settings, switch the power button to 'SETUP'.

  1. Locate the power switch at the bottom of the control panel.
  2. Slide the switch from 'OFF' to 'SETUP'. The screen will illuminate.
  3. Press the 'MENU' button to access camera settings.
  4. Navigate through options like 'Mode', 'Work Time', 'Photo or Video', 'Photo Resolution', 'Video Resolution', 'Photo Burst', 'Video Length', 'Audio Recording', 'Detection Delay', 'PIR Sensitivity', 'Motion Test', 'Fill Light Distance', 'Camera Name', 'Wi-Fi LED', 'Date & Time', 'Date Format', and 'Time Format'.
  5. Adjust settings as needed using the arrow keys and 'OK' button.

Mobile App Connection

Connect your camera to the mobile app for remote control and media access.

  1. Switch the camera to 'ON' mode.
  2. Open the 'TrailCam Go' app on your mobile phone.
  3. Turn on WiFi and Bluetooth on your phone. (Do not connect to home WiFi or any Bluetooth devices directly).
  4. Connect to the camera via the app.
  5. Click 'Settings' within the app to adjust camera parameters.
  6. Click 'Gallery' to preview or download images.

Operating

Activating Motion Detection

After setting up, slide the power switch from 'SETUP' to 'ON'. The camera will enter motion detection mode.

  1. Ensure all desired settings are configured in 'SETUP' mode.
  2. Slide the power switch to 'ON'. The camera will display 'Mode: Motion Detection' and begin a countdown.
  3. Once the countdown finishes, the camera is active and will capture photos or videos based on motion.

Viewing Captured Media

You have multiple options to view photos and videos captured by the camera:

  • On-Camera Playback: In 'SETUP' mode, press the 'REPLAY' button to view captured media directly on the camera's screen. Use the arrow keys to navigate and 'OK' to play videos.
  • Mobile App: Connect via WiFi and Bluetooth using the 'TrailCam Go' app to view and download files directly to your phone.
  • USB Connection: Use the included USB cable to connect the camera to a computer and transfer files.
  • SD Card Reader: Remove the SD card from the camera and insert it into the provided card reader, then connect to a computer.

Maintenance

Cleaning and Storage
