Setup

1. Battery Installation

The Philips SRP8121G/27 remote control requires two (2) AA batteries (not included).

  1. Locate the battery compartment cover on the back of the remote control.
  2. Slide the cover downwards and lift it off.

2. Programming Your Devices

The remote can be programmed using either Auto Code Search or Direct Code Entry. It is preprogrammed for immediate use with Samsung TVs and Roku streaming boxes.

Auto Code Search:

  1. Turn on the device you wish to control (e.g., TV, DVD player).
  2. Press and hold the SETUP button until the indicator light turns on.
  3. Press the device button you want to program (e.g., TV, DVD). The indicator light will blink once and then remain on.
  4. Point the remote at the device and press the POWER button repeatedly (approximately every 2 seconds) until the device turns off.
  5. Once the device turns off, press the ENTER button to save the code. The indicator light will turn off.
  6. Test the remote's functions with the device. If some functions do not work, repeat the process to find a more compatible code.

Direct Code Entry:

Refer to the code list provided with your remote or available online from the manufacturer for your specific device brand.

  1. Turn on the device you wish to control.
  2. Press and hold the SETUP button until the indicator light turns on.
  3. Press the device button you want to program (e.g., TV, DVD). The indicator light will blink once and then remain on.
  4. Enter the 4-digit code for your device brand using the number buttons.
  5. If the code is valid, the indicator light will turn off. If the light blinks and stays on, the code is invalid; re-enter the correct code.
  6. Test the remote's functions with the device.
