Safety Information

Your NEXX X.Wed 2 helmet is designed to meet stringent safety standards. It complies with DOT FMVSS 218 regulations, ensuring a high level of protection. Always wear a properly fitted helmet when riding. Never modify your helmet, as this can compromise its protective capabilities.

Important: A helmet cannot protect against all possible impacts. For maximum protection, the helmet must fit properly and be securely fastened. Replace your helmet immediately after any impact, even if visible damage is not apparent.

Key Features

Setup and Initial Use

1. Helmet Fit

Ensure the helmet fits snugly around your head without causing pressure points. It should not move freely when you shake your head. The cheek pads should press firmly against your cheeks. If the fit is too loose, consider using the Ergo Padding System for a more customized fit or a different size helmet.

2. Securing the Double D-Ring Buckle

  1. Thread the strap through both D-rings.
  2. Loop the strap back through the first D-ring only.
  3. Pull the strap tight against your throat. Ensure the strap is snug and comfortable.

3. Visor Installation/Removal (X-Block Quick Release System)

To remove the main visor, open it fully, then press the release buttons on both sides of the visor mechanism. Gently pull the visor away from the helmet. To install, align the visor tabs with the slots on the helmet's mechanism and push until they click into place. Ensure both sides are securely fastened before riding.

4. Adjusting the Peak Extensor

The peak can be extended or retracted to optimize sun protection. Loosen the screws on the sides of the peak, adjust to the desired position, and then re-tighten the screws firmly.

Operating Your Helmet

1. Using the Inner Sun Visor

The 80% tint inner sun visor can be deployed or retracted using the slider mechanism located on the left side of the helmet. Slide it down to engage the sun visor and up to retract it. Do not use the sun visor in low light conditions or at night.

2. Adjusting Ventilation (Air Dynamic System)

The helmet features multiple adjustable vents for optimal airflow:

3. Action Camera Mounts

The helmet includes integrated mounts on the top and sides for attaching action cameras. Ensure your camera is securely fastened before riding. Refer to your camera's manual for specific mounting instructions.

Maintenance and Care

1. Shell Cleaning

Clean the helmet shell with a soft, damp cloth and mild soap. Avoid using harsh chemicals, solvents, or abrasive cleaners, as these can damage the shell material and graphics. Rinse thoroughly with clean water and dry with a soft cloth.

2. Visor Cleaning

Remove the visor for cleaning. Wash with lukewarm water and mild soap. Use a soft cloth or sponge. Do not use abrasive materials. Rinse thoroughly and allow to air dry or gently pat dry with a microfiber cloth. Avoid wiping the visor when dry, as this can scratch the surface.

3. Interior Lining Care (X.MART DRY Fabrics)

The 3D lining and cheek pads are removable and washable. Gently detach them from the helmet. Hand wash with mild soap and cool water. Do not machine wash or tumble dry. Allow them to air dry completely before re-installing into the helmet. Ensure all components are dry to prevent mildew.

4. Storage

Store your helmet in a cool, dry place away from direct sunlight and extreme temperatures. Use a helmet bag to protect it from dust and scratches.
