3. Assembly Instructions

The Kinchoix 9U Server Cabinet requires assembly. Follow these steps carefully. It is recommended to have a second person assist with assembly.

3.1 Unpacking and Component Identification

Carefully unpack all components and verify against the parts list (refer to packaging for a complete list). Ensure all screws and mounting hardware are present.

3.2 Cabinet Frame Assembly

1. Attach the two frame pieces to the bottom panel using the provided M5 screws.
2. Secure the top panel to the assembled frame using M5 screws.
3. Install the mounting beams into the frame, ensuring they are aligned with the rack unit markings.
4. Attach the rear panel to the back of the cabinet using M5 screws.
5. Secure the side panels to the cabinet frame. These panels are removable and lockable.
6. Install the front door, ensuring the lock mechanism is correctly aligned.

4. Installation

The Kinchoix 9U Server Cabinet can be wall-mounted or used as a floor-standing unit. This section details wall-mounting procedures.

4.1 Wall Mounting Preparation

1. Choose a suitable location on a sturdy wall capable of supporting the cabinet's weight plus the weight of all installed equipment.
2. Use a level to mark the desired height and position for the wall hanging panel.
3. Drill pilot holes at the marked locations. Ensure the drill bit size matches the wall anchors.
4. Insert wall anchors into the drilled holes.

4.2 Attaching the Wall Hanging Panel

1. Align the wall hanging panel with the installed wall anchors.
2. Secure the wall hanging panel to the wall using the appropriate screws. Ensure it is firmly attached.

4.3 Mounting the Cabinet

1. Carefully lift the assembled cabinet and align the mounting slots on the back of the cabinet with the hooks on the wall hanging panel.
2. Lower the cabinet onto the wall hanging panel, ensuring it is securely seated.
3. Secure the cabinet to the wall hanging panel using the provided screws to prevent accidental dislodgement.

1. Open the front door and side panels (if necessary) using the provided keys.
2. Mount your 10-inch compatible networking equipment (routers, switches, AV equipment) onto the adjustable mounting rails using appropriate rack screws.
