2. Safety Information
Please read all safety instructions carefully before installation and operation. Failure to follow these instructions may result in electric shock, fire, or other hazards.
- Electrical Safety: Always turn off power at the circuit breaker before installing, servicing, or cleaning the fixture. Ensure proper grounding.
- Qualified Installation: Installation should be performed by a qualified electrician or a person with adequate knowledge of electrical wiring.
- GFCI Outlets: The built-in GFCI outlets provide ground fault protection. Test the GFCI outlets monthly by pressing the "TEST" button, then the "RESET" button. If the outlet does not trip or reset, discontinue use and consult a qualified electrician.
- Bulb Type: Use only INCANDESCENT or DIMMABLE LED bulbs with an E26 base, up to 60 watts. Non-dimmable LED bulbs may not function correctly in all lighting modes.
- Outdoor Use Only: This fixture is designed for outdoor use in wet locations. Do not submerge or expose to extreme conditions beyond its weatherproof rating.
- Weight Capacity: Do not hang objects from the fixture or its outlets.
3. Package Contents
Verify that all components are present before beginning installation:
- Outdoor Wall Light Body (1)
- Mounting Hardware (Screws, Wire Nuts, Mounting Plate)
4. Installation Guide
Follow these steps for proper installation. For best performance, mount the fixture at least 6 feet (1.8 meters) above the ground.
- Prepare for Installation: Turn off power at the circuit breaker. Remove the existing fixture if applicable.
- Remove Mounting Bracket: Carefully detach the mounting bracket from the back of the new light fixture.
- Fix Mounting Bracket: Secure the mounting bracket to the wall or junction box using the provided screws. Ensure it is firmly attached.
- Connect Wiring: Connect the fixture's wires to your household wiring according to local electrical codes (typically black to black, white to white, and ground to ground). Use the provided wire nuts to secure connections.
- Install Light Fixture: Align the light fixture with the mounting bracket and secure it with the two black screw nuts. Ensure the fixture is flush against the wall.
- Install Bulb: Insert an E26 base INCANDESCENT or DIMMABLE LED bulb (not included) into the socket.
- Restore Power: Turn power back on at the circuit breaker.

5. Operating Instructions
5.1. Lighting Modes
The fixture offers three distinct lighting modes, selectable via a switch located on the unit:
- Auto+ Mode:
At night, the light maintains a dim illumination (20%-50% adjustable brightness). Upon detection of motion, the light brightens to 100% output. After 20-180 seconds (adjustable) of no motion, it returns to the dim state. This mode is ideal for energy saving while providing security lighting on demand.
Figure 5.1.1: Auto+ Mode operation.
- Auto Mode:
The light remains off at night. When motion is detected, it illuminates to 100% brightness. After 20-180 seconds (adjustable) of no motion, the light turns off completely. This mode is suitable for areas where light is only needed when activity is present.
Figure 5.1.2: Auto Mode operation.
- PC Mode (Photocell Mode):
The light automatically turns on at dusk and turns off at dawn, based on ambient light levels. Motion sensing is not active in this mode. This mode provides continuous illumination during nighttime hours.

5.2. GFCI Outlet Usage
The fixture includes two built-in GFCI (Ground Fault Circuit Interrupter) outlets for enhanced safety and convenient power access. These outlets are suitable for 2-prong and 3-prong plugs and support a maximum of 15A (1800W).
- Operation: After installation, press the "TEST" button on the GFCI outlet, then the "RESET" button to activate the outlet. The green indicator light should illuminate.
- Applications: Ideal for powering outdoor devices such as security cameras, string lights, lawn mowers, leaf blowers, or barbecue grills.

5.3. PIR Motion Sensor Functionality
The built-in PIR (Passive Infrared) motion sensor detects movement within its range, activating the light in Auto and Auto+ modes.
- Sensing Angle: 140 degrees
- Detection Range: 10-33 feet (3-10 meters)
- Adjustable Settings: The sensor's sensitivity (Sens) and lighting duration (Time) can be adjusted. The dim brightness level in Auto+ mode (Low Level) is also adjustable (20%-50%).

5.4. Bulb Compatibility
This fixture is compatible with E26 base bulbs. For optimal performance across all lighting modes, it is recommended to use INCANDESCENT or DIMMABLE LED bulbs. Bulbs are not included.

Figure 5.4.1: Examples of compatible E26 base bulbs.
6. Care and Maintenance
Regular maintenance will help prolong the life and appearance of your outdoor light fixture.
- Cleaning: Turn off power before cleaning. Wipe the fixture with a soft, damp cloth. Do not use abrasive cleaners, solvents, or polishes as they may damage the finish or glass.
- Bulb Replacement: Ensure power is off before replacing the bulb. Allow the bulb to cool completely before handling.
- Inspection: Periodically inspect the wiring and connections for any signs of wear or damage. Ensure the fixture is securely mounted.
- Weather Resistance: The fixture is designed to be weatherproof (waterproof, snowproof, sunproof, windproof). However, extreme weather conditions may require additional inspection after the event.

7. Troubleshooting
If you encounter issues with your EDISHINE outdoor light, refer to the following common problems and solutions:
| Problem | Possible Cause | Solution |
|---|---|---|
| Light does not turn on. | No power; Loose wiring; Faulty bulb; Incorrect mode selection. | Check circuit breaker. Ensure all wiring connections are secure. Replace bulb. Verify correct lighting mode is selected. |
| Motion sensor not detecting. | Sensor obstructed; Incorrect sensitivity setting; Light mode not Auto or Auto+. | Clear any obstructions from the sensor. Adjust sensor sensitivity (Sens) setting. Ensure Auto or Auto+ mode is selected. |
| Light stays on constantly. | PC mode selected; Continuous motion detected; Sensor malfunction. | Switch to Auto or Auto+ mode. Ensure no constant motion in sensor range. If problem persists, contact support. |
| GFCI outlet not working. | Not reset; Tripped due to fault; Overload. | Press "RESET" button. If it trips immediately, there may be a ground fault in the connected device or wiring. Reduce load if overloaded (max 15A/1800W). |
| Light flickers or dims unexpectedly. | Incompatible bulb; Loose connection; Voltage fluctuations. | Ensure a compatible INCANDESCENT or DIMMABLE LED bulb is used. Check wiring connections. Consult an electrician if voltage issues are suspected. |
