4. Operating

Once installed correctly, the filters operate passively as part of your Thermo King unit's system. No specific user operation is required for the filters themselves. Ensure that all connections are secure and free of leaks after installation. Monitor your unit's performance indicators to confirm proper functioning.

5. Maintenance

Regular maintenance of your filters is crucial for the efficient and reliable operation of your Thermo King unit. Adhere to the manufacturer's recommended service intervals for filter replacement.

  • Air Filter: Inspect regularly for dirt and debris. Replace as per your unit's maintenance schedule or if visibly clogged.
  • Oil Filter: The oil filter (11-9182) is designed for extended maintenance intervals. Replace the oil filter and change engine oil (hot) at 3000 hours, using API Rating CI-4 or higher (ACEA Rating E7 or higher) oil.
  • Fuel Filter: Replace as per your unit's maintenance schedule. Regular replacement prevents fuel system contamination and ensures optimal fuel delivery.

Always refer to your Thermo King unit's service manual for precise maintenance schedules and procedures.

6. Troubleshooting

If you experience issues after filter replacement, consider the following:

  • Reduced Engine Performance: Check if the air filter is properly seated or if the fuel system was adequately bled after fuel filter replacement.
  • Leaks: Re-check all filter connections for proper tightening. Ensure gaskets are correctly seated and not damaged.
  • Warning Lights: If any warning lights illuminate, consult your Thermo King unit's diagnostic guide immediately.

For persistent issues, contact a qualified service technician or BANGTE customer support.
