Setup and Installation

Follow these steps for a cohesive and effortless installation. This design allows for one-person installation.

  1. Choose Your Wall Type and Fasteners:

Identify your wall material. Use the silver hex bolts for concrete and wooden walls. Use the golden expansion bolts for secure installation on brick walls. Remember, this shelving is not for metal walls.

  3. Install Shelf Brackets:

Drill holes at the marked locations and securely fasten the shelf brackets to the wall using the appropriate bolts for your wall type. Ensure they are firmly attached and level.

  4. Place Wire Shelves:

Once the brackets are secure, place the wire shelves onto the installed brackets. Ensure they sit flush and are stable.

  5. Attach Hooks:

The versatile hooks can be attached to the wire grid of the shelves. Ensure they are installed correctly for maximum stability and to support the 33 lbs weight capacity per hook.

Maintenance

To ensure the longevity and appearance of your CAPHAUS shelving, follow these simple maintenance guidelines:

  • Cleaning: Wipe the shelves and brackets with a dry cloth to remove dust and debris. For stubborn dirt, a slightly damp cloth can be used, followed by immediate drying. Avoid abrasive cleaners or harsh chemicals.
  • Regular Inspection: Periodically check all installed bolts and connections to ensure they remain tight and secure. Retighten if necessary.
  • Load Management: Always be mindful of the weight limits. Do not exceed 250 lbs per shelf or 33 lbs per hook.

Troubleshooting

If you encounter any issues with your CAPHAUS shelving, consider the following common solutions:

  • Shelves appear wobbly or not level:
    • Ensure all mounting bolts are securely tightened.
    • Verify that the wall surface is appropriate and structurally sound.
    • Re-check alignment with a level during installation.
  • Difficulty installing bolts:
    • Confirm you are using the correct type of bolt for your wall material (hex bolt for wood/concrete, expansion bolt for brick).
    • Ensure the drilled hole size matches the bolt requirements.
  • Hooks not holding weight:
    • Verify the hook is correctly installed onto the wire grid as shown in Figure 4.
    • Ensure the weight of the item does not exceed the 33 lbs capacity per hook.
