Setup
1. Machine Parts Overview

Image: A detailed diagram labeling key components of the mini sewing machine, including the handwheel, tension screw, presser foot, thread cutter, and power ports.
2. Powering the Machine
The machine can be powered by the included AC/DC adapter or by 4 AA batteries (not included) for portable use. Insert the adapter into the DC power port on the back of the machine. If using batteries, open the battery compartment on the bottom and insert 4 AA batteries, ensuring correct polarity.
3. Attaching the Extension Table
Align the pegs of the extension table with the corresponding holes on the sewing machine base and gently push to secure it. This provides a larger working area for your projects.
4. Threading the Machine
- Upper Thread: Place a spool of thread on the thread spindle. Guide the thread through the tension screw, then through the take-up lever, and finally through the needle eye. Use the needle threader for assistance.
- Bobbin Thread: Open the bottom bobbin cover. Insert a pre-wound bobbin into the bobbin case, ensuring the thread unwinds in the correct direction. Pull the thread through the small slot in the bobbin case.
Ensure both upper and bobbin threads are pulled under the presser foot before starting to sew.
Operating Instructions
1. Turning On/Off and Speed Adjustment
Use the on/off switch located on the side of the machine to power it on. The machine features dual speed settings (low and high), which can be selected using the speed switch. The built-in LED light will illuminate your sewing area when the machine is on.

2. Using the Foot Pedal
Connect the foot pedal to the foot pedal port on the machine. Press the foot pedal to start sewing and release to stop. This allows for hands-free speed control.
3. Stitching
Place your fabric under the presser foot. Lower the presser foot lever. Select your desired speed. Gently press the foot pedal or use the handwheel to begin stitching. Guide the fabric smoothly as the machine sews.
4. Finishing a Seam
Once your seam is complete, lift the presser foot lever and gently pull the fabric away from the machine. Use the integrated thread cutter to snip the threads.
Maintenance
- Cleaning: Regularly clean lint and dust from the bobbin area and under the needle plate using a small brush. Ensure the machine is unplugged before cleaning.
- Needle Replacement: If the needle becomes dull or bent, replace it with a new one from the accessory kit. Loosen the needle clamp screw, remove the old needle, insert the new needle with the flat side facing the back, and tighten the screw.
- Storage: Store the machine in a dry, clean place away from direct sunlight when not in use.
Troubleshooting
| Problem | Possible Cause | Solution |
|---|---|---|
| Machine not turning on | No power, batteries drained, adapter not connected | Check power adapter connection, replace batteries, ensure power switch is ON. |
| Thread breaks frequently | Incorrect threading, tension too tight, dull needle, poor quality thread | Re-thread the machine carefully, adjust tension, replace needle, use good quality thread. |
| Skipped stitches | Incorrect needle insertion, bent needle, wrong needle type for fabric | Ensure needle is inserted correctly and fully, replace with a new, sharp needle suitable for your fabric. |
| Fabric not feeding | Presser foot not lowered, feed dogs obstructed | Lower the presser foot, clear any obstructions from the feed dog area. |
