Calibration
Regular calibration ensures the accuracy of your pH meter. The YK-P01 supports 3-point auto calibration (4.00, 7.00, 10.01). Calibration powders are included in the package to prepare calibration solutions.
Calibration Procedure:
- Prepare 250ml of distilled water for each calibration powder (4.00, 7.00, 10.01). Dissolve each powder completely in its respective distilled water.
- Turn on the pH meter.
- Immerse the electrode into the 7.00 pH buffer solution.
- Long press the CAL button for 5 seconds. The display will show "CAL" and then "7.0" flashing. Release the button.
- Wait for the "7.0" to stop flashing and stabilize. This indicates successful 7.00 point calibration.
- Rinse the electrode with distilled water.
- Immerse the electrode into the 4.00 pH buffer solution.
- Long press the CAL button for 5 seconds. The display will show "CAL" and then "4.0" flashing. Release the button.
- Wait for the "4.0" to stop flashing and stabilize. This indicates successful 4.00 point calibration.
- Rinse the electrode with distilled water.
- Immerse the electrode into the 10.01 pH buffer solution.
- Long press the CAL button for 5 seconds. The display will show "CAL" and then "10.0" flashing. Release the button.
- Wait for the "10.0" to stop flashing and stabilize. This indicates successful 10.01 point calibration.
- Rinse the electrode with distilled water and replace the protective cap.

Maintenance
- Cleaning the Electrode: After each use, rinse the pH electrode thoroughly with distilled water to prevent contamination. Do not wipe the glass bulb, as this can damage it.
- Storage: Always replace the protective cap after use. For long-term storage, ensure the electrode is kept moist. If the electrode dries out, rehydrate it by soaking it in pH 7.00 buffer solution for at least 30 minutes before use.
- Battery Replacement: Replace batteries when the display becomes dim or the meter does not power on. Refer to the "Battery Installation" section for instructions.
- Calibration Frequency: Calibrate your meter regularly, especially if you notice inconsistent readings, after replacing batteries, or if the meter has been stored for a long period.
Troubleshooting
| Problem | Possible Cause | Solution |
|---|---|---|
| Inaccurate Readings | Meter not calibrated; Electrode dirty or dry; Batteries low. | Calibrate the meter; Clean and rehydrate electrode; Replace batteries. |
| Display is Dim or Blank | Low or dead batteries. | Replace batteries. |
| Reading Fluctuates Wildly | Electrode not fully immersed; Air bubbles on electrode; Contaminated solution; Damaged electrode. | Ensure full immersion; Gently tap to remove bubbles; Use clean solution; Contact support if damaged. |
| Cannot Calibrate | Incorrect buffer solution; Electrode damaged; Calibration procedure not followed correctly. | Use correct buffer solutions; Re-attempt calibration carefully; Contact support if electrode is damaged. |
