Safety Information

WARNING: Improper installation, adjustment, alteration, service, or maintenance can cause property damage, injury, or death. Read the installation, operating, and maintenance instructions thoroughly before installing or servicing this equipment.

  • Ensure adequate ventilation when operating on propane gas to prevent carbon monoxide buildup. Do not operate in enclosed, unventilated spaces.
  • Always check for gas leaks after connecting or disconnecting the propane supply.
  • Keep flammable materials away from the refrigerator, especially when operating on propane.
  • Disconnect power before cleaning or performing any maintenance.
  • This appliance is designed for cooling and should not be used for freezing.

Setup

1. Unpacking and Inspection

Carefully remove the refrigerator from its packaging. Inspect the unit for any signs of damage during transit. Report any damage to your retailer immediately.

2. Placement and Ventilation

For optimal performance and safety, place the refrigerator on a stable, level surface. Ensure there is sufficient clearance around the unit for proper air circulation, especially at the rear where the cooling unit is located. When operating on propane, proper ventilation is critical. Avoid placing the unit in direct sunlight or near heat sources.

  • 110V AC (Household Power): Connect the provided AC power cord to a standard 110V wall outlet.
  • 12V DC (Vehicle Power): Use the 12V DC cable to connect the refrigerator to your vehicle's 12V power source (e.g., cigarette lighter socket or dedicated 12V outlet). Ensure the vehicle's engine is running or you have a robust auxiliary battery to prevent draining the main battery.
  • LPG (Propane Gas): Connect a standard propane gas cylinder to the refrigerator's gas inlet using an approved gas hose and regulator (LPG gas pressure: 2.8Kpa / 28mbar). Ensure all connections are tight and check for leaks using a soapy water solution before ignition.

Operating Instructions

1. Control Panel Overview

The control panel typically includes:

  • Rotary Switch: Selects the power source (OFF, DC12V, AC, Gas).
  • Thermostat Knob: Adjusts the cooling temperature (MIN to MAX).
  • Flame Indicator: Illuminates when the gas flame is lit.
  • Safety Valve Button: Used for igniting the gas burner.

2. Switching Power Modes

  1. To switch to 110V AC or 12V DC: Turn the Rotary Switch to the desired position (AC or DC12V). The unit will begin cooling automatically.
  2. To switch to LPG Gas:
    1. Ensure the gas supply is connected and the gas valve is open.
    2. Turn the Rotary Switch to the "Gas" position.
    3. Press and hold the Safety Valve Button while simultaneously pressing the igniter (if separate) or turning the knob to the ignition position.
    4. Hold the button for a few seconds after ignition to allow the thermocouple to heat up. Release the button slowly. The flame indicator should remain lit. If not, repeat the process.

3. Temperature Adjustment

Rotate the Thermostat Knob to adjust the internal temperature. "MIN" provides less cooling, while "MAX" provides maximum cooling. Allow several hours for the refrigerator to reach the desired temperature after initial setup or adjustment.

4. Automatic Defrost

This refrigerator features an automatic defrost system, minimizing ice buildup. However, occasional manual defrosting may be required if excessive frost accumulates, especially in humid environments. To manually defrost, turn off the unit, remove all contents, and leave the door open until ice melts. Wipe dry before restarting.

Maintenance

1. Cleaning

Regular cleaning helps maintain hygiene and efficiency:

  • Clean the interior with a mild detergent and warm water. Avoid abrasive cleaners.
  • Wipe down the exterior with a soft, damp cloth.
  • Periodically clean the rear cooling unit area to remove dust and debris, ensuring proper heat dissipation.

2. Long-term Storage

If storing the refrigerator for an extended period:

  • Empty all contents and defrost thoroughly.
  • Clean the interior and exterior.
  • Leave the door slightly ajar to prevent odors and mold growth.
  • Store in a dry, well-ventilated area.

  • Ensure adequate clearance around the unit.
Gas flame not igniting/staying lit
  • Gas supply off or empty.
  • Air in gas line.
  • Safety valve button not held long enough.
  • Blocked burner.
  • Check propane tank and valve.
  • Purge air by attempting ignition several times.
  • Hold safety valve button for 10-15 seconds after ignition.
  • Consult qualified service personnel.
Excessive frost buildup
  • Frequent door opening.
  • High humidity.
  • Door seal not tight.
  • Minimize door openings.
  • Perform manual defrost.
  • Check and clean door gasket.
