Setup: Customizing the Foam Interior
The Lykus HC-3011 case features a pre-cut, pluckable foam insert that allows you to create a custom fit for your items. Follow these steps for optimal protection:
- Prepare Your Items: Lay out all items you intend to store in the case on a flat surface, arranging them as they will sit inside the case. Ensure a minimum distance of 0.4 inches (1 cm) between items.
- Measure Your Items:
- Measure the total length of your arrangement from left to right.
- Measure the total width from front to back.
- Measure the height of your tallest item.
- Compare Dimensions: Refer to the "Specifications" section or the detailed size image to ensure your items fit within the case's usable foam dimensions. The object's height must be equal to or less than 3.5 inches (8.9 cm).
- Pluck the Foam: The foam is pre-scored into small squares. Carefully tear out the foam squares around the outline of your items. Start by tracing the shape, then gently pull out the unwanted foam sections.
- Test Fit: Place your items into the customized foam to ensure a snug and secure fit. Adjust as necessary.
Operating the Case
- Opening: Lift the press-and-pull latches to release the lid.
- Closing: Align the lid with the base and press down firmly on the latches until they click into place. Ensure all latches are securely fastened to maintain the waterproof and dustproof seal.
