2. Safety Information

  • Eye Safety: Do not look directly into the light beam. Avoid shining the light directly into the eyes of people or animals, as this can cause temporary vision impairment or permanent eye damage.
  • Battery Safety: Use only the specified rechargeable battery and charger. Do not attempt to charge non-rechargeable batteries. Do not expose batteries to extreme heat, fire, or water. Dispose of batteries responsibly according to local regulations.
  • Water Resistance: The torch is shock and water resistant. However, it is not designed for submersion. Avoid prolonged exposure to heavy rain or immersion in water.

4. Product Overview

Familiarize yourself with the components of your Magneto DBK261 torch:

5. Setup

5.1. Charging the Battery

  1. Remove the rechargeable battery from the torch (if already inserted) or from its packaging.
  2. Insert the battery into the provided battery charger, ensuring correct polarity (+/-).
  3. Plug the charger into a standard wall outlet.
  4. The charger's indicator light will typically show red during charging and turn green when fully charged.
  5. Once fully charged, unplug the charger and remove the battery.

5.2. Inserting the Battery

  1. Unscrew the tail cap of the torch by turning it counter-clockwise.
  2. Insert the charged battery into the battery compartment with the positive (+) end facing towards the torch head.
  3. Screw the tail cap back on clockwise until it is securely tightened.

6. Operating Instructions

6.1. Power On/Off and Mode Selection

  • To Turn On: Press the power button once. The torch will illuminate in its last used mode or default to high brightness.
  • To Change Modes: While the torch is on, press the power button repeatedly to cycle through available brightness modes (e.g., High, Medium, Low, Strobe, SOS).
  • To Turn Off: Press and hold the power button for approximately 2 seconds, or cycle through all modes until the light turns off.

6.2. Adjusting Spot to Flood Beam

The Magneto DBK261 features an adjustable beam for both spot and flood lighting.

  • For Spot Beam: Extend the torch head forward (away from the body) to focus the light into a narrow, long-distance beam. This provides a 400m beam range on the brightest setting.
  • For Flood Beam: Retract the torch head backward (towards the body) to widen the light into a broad, area-illuminating beam.

7. Maintenance

7.1. Cleaning

  • Wipe the torch body with a soft, damp cloth.
  • Do not use abrasive cleaners or solvents, as these may damage the finish or internal components.
  • Clean the lens gently with a lens cleaning cloth to maintain optimal light output.

7.2. Battery Care and Storage

  • For optimal battery life, charge the battery fully before first use and periodically if stored for long periods (e.g., every 3-6 months).

  • If storing for an extended period, remove the battery from the torch to prevent potential leakage.
