Safety Instructions
Always read and understand all safety warnings, instructions, illustrations, and specifications provided with this power tool. Failure to follow all instructions listed below may result in electric shock, fire, and/or serious injury.
General Power Tool Safety Warnings
- Work Area Safety: Keep work area clean and well lit. Cluttered or dark areas invite accidents. Do not operate power tools in explosive atmospheres, such as in the presence of flammable liquids, gases, or dust.
- Electrical Safety: Power tool plugs must match the outlet. Never modify the plug in any way. Do not abuse the cord. Keep cord away from heat, oil, sharp edges, or moving parts.
- Personal Safety: Stay alert, watch what you are doing, and use common sense when operating a power tool. Do not use a power tool while you are tired or under the influence of drugs, alcohol, or medication. Always wear eye protection.
- Tool Use and Care: Do not force the power tool. Use the correct power tool for your application. Disconnect the plug from the power source and/or remove the battery pack, if detachable, from the power tool before making any adjustments, changing accessories, or storing power tools.
Specific Safety Warnings for Circular Saws
- Cutting Procedure: Hold the power tool by insulated gripping surfaces when performing an operation where the cutting accessory may contact hidden wiring or its own cord.
- Kickback: Avoid kickback. Kickback is a sudden reaction to a pinched, bound, or misaligned saw blade, causing an uncontrolled saw to lift up and out of the workpiece toward the operator.
- Blade Guard: Always ensure the lower guard is closed before placing the saw on the workbench or floor. Never jam the lower guard open.
- Blade Selection: Use only saw blades with the correct size and bore. Ensure the blade is sharp and suitable for the material being cut.
- Dust Extraction: Connect dust extraction devices if provided. These devices can reduce dust-related hazards.

- Release the spindle lock.
Adjusting Cutting Depth
- Loosen the depth adjustment lever/knob.
- Move the saw base up or down to achieve the desired cutting depth. The maximum cutting depth at 0° is 65 mm.
- Tighten the depth adjustment lever/knob securely.
Adjusting Cutting Angle (Bevel)
- Loosen the bevel adjustment lever/knob.
- Tilt the saw base to the desired angle between 0° and 45°. The maximum cutting depth at 45° is 44 mm.
- Tighten the bevel adjustment lever/knob securely.
Using the Parallel Guide and Laser
Insert the parallel guide into the designated slot on the saw base and secure it at the desired width for straight cuts. The switchable laser projects a line onto the workpiece, assisting in maintaining a straight cutting path. Ensure the laser batteries are installed correctly.
Operation
Before Starting
- Ensure the workpiece is securely clamped and stable.
- Verify that the saw blade is correctly installed and tightened.
- Adjust the cutting depth and angle as required for your material.
- Connect the saw to a suitable power outlet (230 V).
- If using, connect an external dust extraction system to the dust port.
Making a Cut
- Hold the saw firmly with both hands, ensuring a secure grip on the Softgrip handle.
- Position the saw blade just above the cutting line.
- Press the safety switch and then the main trigger to start the saw. Allow the blade to reach full speed before engaging the workpiece.
- Slowly guide the saw into the workpiece, maintaining a steady, even pressure. Do not force the saw.
- The pendulum protective hood will retract automatically as the blade enters the material and close as it exits.
- Once the cut is complete, release the trigger and allow the blade to stop completely before lifting the saw from the workpiece.
Variable Speed Control
The saw features variable speed control (2200-4700 rpm) to optimize cutting performance for different materials. Adjust the speed dial to the appropriate setting for the material you are cutting. Lower speeds are generally suitable for harder materials or when more control is needed, while higher speeds are for softer materials.
Soft Start and Intelligent Power Control
The electronically regulated soft start ensures a smooth and controlled start-up, reducing sudden jolts and increasing user comfort. The intelligent power control automatically adjusts power delivery to maintain consistent cutting performance under load.
Maintenance
Regular maintenance ensures the longevity and safe operation of your circular saw. Always unplug the tool from the power source before performing any maintenance.
Cleaning
- After each use, clean the saw thoroughly to remove dust, chips, and debris.
- Use a brush or compressed air to clear the ventilation slots and the area around the blade.
- Wipe down the exterior with a damp cloth. Do not use harsh chemicals or abrasive cleaners.
- Ensure the pendulum protective hood moves freely and is not obstructed by debris.
Blade Replacement
Refer to the "Installing the Saw Blade" section under Setup for detailed instructions on how to safely replace the saw blade. Always use sharp, undamaged blades of the correct size (Ø 190 x Ø 20 mm bore) for optimal performance and safety.
Storage
Store the circular saw in a clean, dry place, out of reach of children. If possible, store it in its original packaging or a suitable carrying case to protect it from dust and damage.
