Important Notes:

  • If your vehicle has a factory-installed Onstar system, refer to the detailed wiring instructions for proper connection.
  • This radio unit does not include a CD slot.
  • This radio unit does not support AM radio, but it supports FM radio.

5. Setup and Installation

Professional installation is highly recommended for this product. Incorrect installation can lead to damage to the unit or vehicle. The following provides a general overview.

5.1 Wiring Diagram

5.2 Backup Camera Connection

Connect the backup camera as per the diagram. The RCA cable connects to the CAMERA plug on the device. The red cable connects to the positive electrode of the reversing light, and the black cable to the negative electrode.

6. Operating Instructions

6.1 User Interface and Basic Navigation

The unit features a 7-inch HD touch screen with a sensitive touch response. Navigate through applications and settings using the intuitive Android 13 interface.

6.2 FM Radio

Access the FM radio function to listen to your favorite stations. The unit supports FM radio (AM radio is not supported).

6.3 Bluetooth Connectivity

The built-in Bluetooth allows for fast matching with your mobile device. Use it for hands-free calls and streaming music. The unit also supports phonebook synchronization.

6.4 Wireless CarPlay / Android Auto

6.5 GPS Navigation

7. Maintenance

  • Cleaning: Use a soft, dry cloth to clean the screen and exterior of the unit. Avoid abrasive cleaners or solvents.
  • Software Updates: Periodically check for firmware updates to ensure optimal performance and access to the latest features. Updates can typically be performed by connecting the car radio to a mobile hotspot or home Wi-Fi, then navigating to Settings > System > About device > Wireless update > Check for update.
  • Temperature: Avoid exposing the unit to extreme temperatures, as this can affect its lifespan and performance.

8. Troubleshooting

If you encounter issues, refer to the following common solutions:

  • Volume Too Low or Too High: Access car setup (factory setup, code 000000) to adjust the amplifier output amplitude. Adjusting DSP settings may also help.
  • Bluetooth Connection Issues: Ensure Bluetooth is enabled on both the head unit and your phone. Try restarting both devices and re-pairing.
  • No Rear Speaker Sound or Noise: If your car has an amplifier or Bose system, ensure the correct 14-pin black plug is connected. Refer to Figure 5.2.
  • No AM Radio: This unit does not support AM radio. Only FM radio is available.
  • No CD Slot: This unit does not have a CD slot.
  • Blinker Sounds Missing: Some users have reported loss of blinker sounds after installation. This may be related to vehicle-specific wiring or CAN bus integration. Consult a professional installer if this issue occurs.
  • Digital Speedometer Calibration Off: This can sometimes be adjusted in the factory settings (code 000000) under vehicle-specific options.
  • Loading Delay for USB: Some USB devices may experience a slight delay in loading upon startup.
  • Reverse Music Setting: To set reverse background volume increase, navigate to In-vehicle settings > Reverse.
