Setup Instructions

Choosing a Power Outlet:

Your EV charger supports both Level 1 (120V) and Level 2 (240V) charging. The type of outlet you use will determine the charging speed.

Installation Steps:

  1. Inspect the Charger: Before first use, carefully inspect the charging cable, control box, and connectors for any signs of damage. Do not use if any damage is observed.
  2. Select Location: Choose a dry, well-ventilated location for charging. The charger is rated for both indoor and outdoor use (IP65), but protection from direct heavy rain or snow is recommended for prolonged outdoor use.
  3. Connect to Power:
    • For Level 2 (240V) charging: Plug the charger's NEMA 6-20P plug directly into a compatible 240V NEMA 6-20R outlet.
    • For Level 1 (120V) charging: Connect the charger's NEMA 6-20P plug to the included NEMA 5-15P to 6-20R adapter, then plug the adapter into a standard 120V NEMA 5-15R household outlet.

    Ensure the connection is secure. The control box will illuminate, indicating it is powered on and ready.

Operating Instructions

  1. Connect to Vehicle: Once the charger is powered on, open your electric vehicle's charging port cover. Firmly insert the J1772 connector into your vehicle's charging inlet until it clicks into place.
  2. Initiate Charging: The charger's control box will display the charging status. Typically, a green light or specific LED pattern indicates active charging. Your vehicle's dashboard or infotainment system will also confirm charging has begun.
  3. Monitor Charging: The LED indicators on the control box provide real-time status. Refer to the "LED Indicator Status" section for details.
  4. End Charging: To stop charging, first unlock your vehicle's charging port (if applicable, via your car's key fob or app). Then, press the release button on the J1772 connector and pull it firmly out of the vehicle's charging inlet.
  5. Disconnect from Power: After charging is complete and the connector is removed from the vehicle, unplug the charger from the wall outlet.

Troubleshooting
