Setup

  1. Unpack: Carefully remove the pizzelle maker and all accessories from the packaging.
  2. Initial Cleaning: Before first use, wipe the non-stick cooking plates with a damp cloth and dry thoroughly.
  3. Placement: Place the appliance on a flat, stable, heat-resistant surface near a power outlet.
  4. Power Connection: Plug the appliance into a 120V AC electrical outlet. The red indicator light will illuminate, signaling that the unit is preheating.

Operating Instructions

  1. Preheat: Allow the pizzelle maker to preheat until the green indicator light illuminates, indicating it has reached the optimal cooking temperature. This usually takes a few minutes.
  2. Prepare Batter: While preheating, prepare your pizzelle or stroopwafel batter using a recipe from the included booklet or your own.
  3. Adjust Temperature: Use the temperature dial (Min, Mid, Max) to select your desired crispness. Lower settings result in lighter pizzelles, while higher settings yield crispier, darker results.
  4. Add Batter: Once the green light is on, open the lid. Lightly grease the non-stick plates with cooking spray or a small amount of oil (optional, as plates are non-stick). Place approximately 1 tablespoon of batter onto the center of each pizzelle mold. For best results, place batter towards the back half of the mold to allow for even spreading when closing.
  5. Cook: Gently close the lid and latch it. Cook for 1-3 minutes, or until the green light illuminates again and the pizzelles are golden brown. Cooking time may vary based on batter consistency and desired crispness.
  6. Remove Pizzelles: Carefully open the lid. Use the provided scraper tool or a non-metallic utensil to gently remove the cooked pizzelles. Place them on a wire rack to cool.
  7. Shape (Optional): For perfectly round 3-inch pizzelles, use the included stainless steel cutter while the pizzelles are still warm and pliable.
