5. Operating Instructions
For optimal performance, consider the following guidelines when operating your flea trap:
- Placement: Position the flea trap in areas where flea activity is observed, such as on carpets, floors, or near pet bedding. Its compact design allows for versatile placement in various rooms like bedrooms, kitchens, or living areas.
- Lighting Conditions: The trap is most effective in dark or dimly lit environments. Strong ambient light can reduce the bulb's attractiveness to fleas. For best results, operate the trap in a room with minimal light, especially during nighttime hours.
- Continuous Operation: For continuous pest control, keep the trap plugged in and operating 24/7.

6. Maintenance
Regular maintenance ensures the continued effectiveness of your flea trap:
- Sticky Disc Replacement: Inspect the sticky disc regularly. When it becomes covered with captured insects or loses its adhesive quality, replace it with a new one. To replace, unplug the unit, remove the top housing, peel off the old disc, and insert a fresh one (refer to Setup Instructions for details).
- Bulb Replacement: If the bulb burns out, unplug the unit, remove the top housing, unscrew the old bulb, and screw in a new replacement bulb.
- Cleaning: Periodically wipe the exterior of the trap with a dry cloth to remove dust. Do not use water or cleaning solutions directly on electrical components.

7. Troubleshooting
If your Kittmip Flea Trap is not performing as expected, consider the following:
- Trap Not Catching Fleas:
- Ensure the trap is placed in a dark or dimly lit area. Strong light can reduce the bulb's effectiveness in attracting fleas.
- Verify the bulb is functioning. If not, replace it.
- Check if the sticky disc is still adhesive. Replace if it's covered or no longer sticky.
- Consider relocating the trap to a different area where flea activity is higher.
- Bulb Not Lighting Up:
- Ensure the power cord is securely plugged into both the trap and the electrical outlet.
- Test the outlet with another device to confirm it is receiving power.
- Replace the bulb with a new one.
- Trap Appears Damaged:
- If any part of the trap is physically damaged, discontinue use and contact customer support for assistance.
