1. Introduction

The RK ROYAL KLUDGE R75 is a high-performance 75% layout mechanical keyboard designed for gaming and efficient typing. 2. What's in the Box

3. Setup

Follow these steps to set up your RK ROYAL KLUDGE R75 Mechanical Keyboard:

1. Connect the USB-C Cable: Locate the USB-C port on the back or side of the keyboard. Insert one end of the provided USB-C cable into this port.
2. Connect to Computer: Insert the other end of the USB-C cable into an available USB port on your computer (PC or Laptop).
3. Driver Installation: The keyboard is plug-and-play. Your operating system (Windows, macOS) should automatically detect and install the necessary drivers. No additional software installation is required for basic functionality.
4. Initial Test: Once connected, the keyboard's RGB backlighting should illuminate. Test basic key functions by typing in a text editor to ensure proper operation.

4. Operating Instructions

4.1 Multimedia Knob Functionality

The RK ROYAL KLUDGE R75 features a multi-functional CNC aluminum volume knob located in the upper right corner of the keyboard.

• Turn to Adjust Volume: Rotate the knob clockwise to increase volume and counter-clockwise to decrease volume.
• Press to Mute/Unmute: Press the knob down to instantly mute or unmute your audio output.

4.2 RGB Backlighting Control

The keyboard features customizable RGB backlighting with multiple modes and effects. Use the following key combinations to control the lighting:

• FN + \|: Toggle between 18 different RGB backlight modes.
• FN + < or >: Toggle between 8 monochrome backlight options or adjust RGB colors in certain modes.
• FN + ↑ or ↓: Adjust RGB brightness (5 levels).
• FN + ← or →: Adjust light speed (5 levels).

4.3 Hot-Swappable Switches

The RK ROYAL KLUDGE R75 features a hot-swappable PCB, allowing you to change mechanical switches without soldering. This supports both 3-pin and 5-pin switches, offering flexibility for customization.

1. Remove Keycap: Use the provided keycap puller to gently remove the desired keycap.
2. Remove Switch: Use a switch puller (not included, but often comes with switch sets) to carefully pull the switch out of the PCB.
3. Insert New Switch: Align the pins of the new switch with the holes on the PCB. Press firmly until the switch clicks into place. Ensure pins are not bent.
4. Replace Keycap: Place the keycap back onto the new switch stem.

5. Maintenance

Proper maintenance ensures the longevity and optimal performance of your keyboard.

• Regular Cleaning: Use a soft brush or compressed air to remove dust and debris from between the keycaps. For deeper cleaning, remove keycaps using the provided puller and clean the plate.
• Keycap Cleaning: Keycaps can be cleaned with a damp cloth and mild soap. Ensure they are completely dry before reattaching.
• Switch Care: Avoid spilling liquids on the keyboard. If a switch feels inconsistent, it may be replaced due to the hot-swappable design.
• Cable Management: Keep the USB-C cable untangled and avoid sharp bends to prevent damage.
