2. Setup and Installation
Unpacking
Carefully remove all packaging materials, including tape and protective films. Dispose of packaging materials responsibly.
Location
- Place the refrigerator on a flat, stable surface strong enough to support its weight when fully loaded.
- Allow adequate space around the refrigerator for proper ventilation (at least 2 inches on sides and back, 4 inches on top).
- Avoid direct sunlight or heat sources (e.g., stove, radiator) as these can increase energy consumption.
Leveling
Adjust the leveling legs at the bottom front of the refrigerator to ensure it is stable and level. This prevents vibrations and ensures proper door sealing.
Power Connection
Plug the refrigerator into a dedicated 115V, 60Hz, 15 Amp grounded electrical outlet. Allow the refrigerator to stand for at least 2-4 hours before plugging it in to allow refrigerants to settle.
After plugging in, allow the refrigerator to cool for several hours (approximately 4-6 hours) before loading with food.

4. Maintenance and Cleaning
Interior Cleaning
Clean the interior regularly with a solution of mild soap and warm water. Wipe dry with a soft cloth. For stubborn odors, a solution of baking soda and water can be used. Remove shelves and drawers for thorough cleaning.
Exterior Cleaning
Wipe the exterior surfaces with a soft cloth and mild detergent. For stainless steel surfaces, use a stainless steel cleaner and polish in the direction of the grain to prevent streaks.
Condenser Coils
Periodically clean the condenser coils, usually located at the back or bottom of the refrigerator. Dust and debris can accumulate, reducing efficiency. Use a vacuum cleaner with a brush attachment.
Frost-Free System
This refrigerator features a frost-free system, eliminating the need for manual defrosting in the freezer compartment. Ensure the freezer door seals properly to maintain efficiency.
5. Troubleshooting
Before calling for service, check the following common issues and solutions:
| Problem | Possible Cause | Solution |
|---|---|---|
| Refrigerator does not operate | No power; power cord unplugged; circuit breaker tripped. | Check power supply; ensure cord is securely plugged in; reset circuit breaker. |
| Temperature is too warm | Temperature control set too high; door opened too frequently; warm food added; poor ventilation. | Adjust temperature control to a lower setting; minimize door openings; allow hot food to cool before storing; ensure adequate clearance around unit. |
| Excessive noise | Refrigerator not level; items vibrating inside; normal operating sounds. | Level the refrigerator; rearrange items; some sounds (e.g., compressor hum, refrigerant flow) are normal. |
| Water on floor | Drain tube clogged; door not sealing properly. | Clear any obstructions from the drain tube; check door gasket for proper seal. |
