5. Maintenance
5.1. Cleaning
Wipe surfaces with a soft, damp cloth. Avoid harsh chemicals or abrasive cleaners that may damage the finish. For stubborn marks, use a mild soap solution and dry immediately.
5.2. Hardware Checks
Periodically (e.g., every 3-6 months) inspect all bolts, screws, and connections to ensure they are tight. Re-tighten any loose hardware to maintain the bed's stability and safety.
5.3. Wood Care
Protect the wood from direct sunlight and extreme temperature changes to prevent warping or cracking. Use coasters or pads under items placed on the bed frame to avoid scratches.
6. Troubleshooting
6.1. Squeaking Noises
If the bed makes squeaking noises, check all bolts and screws. Loose hardware is a common cause of squeaking. Tighten all connections securely. Ensure the bed is on a level surface.
6.2. Trundle Not Sliding Smoothly
Check for any obstructions under the bed or in the trundle's path. Ensure the wheels are clean and free of debris. If the trundle still does not slide smoothly, inspect the tracks for damage or misalignment.
6.3. Drawers Sticking
Ensure the drawers are not overloaded. Check the drawer slides for any debris or damage. Lubricate the slides with a silicone-based lubricant if necessary.
