3. Setup Instructions

Follow these steps to assemble and prepare your digital piano for use.

3.1 Assembly

  1. Carefully unpack all components from the packaging. Place the main piano unit on a soft, flat surface to prevent scratches.
  2. Attach the four wooden legs to the underside of the piano unit using the provided screws. Ensure they are securely fastened.
  3. Position the piano in your desired location.
  4. Connect the triple pedal unit cable to the designated pedal input port located on the underside of the piano.

3.2 Power Connection

  1. Connect the power adapter to the DC Power input port on the piano.
  2. Plug the power adapter into a standard electrical outlet.

4. Operating Instructions

4.1 Basic Controls

  • Power On/Off: Use the power switch to turn the instrument on or off.
  • Volume Control: Adjust the main volume using the dedicated volume knob.
  • Tone Selection: Choose from 8 distinct tones to vary your sound. Refer to the control panel for specific tone selection buttons.
  • Dual-Tone Mode: Activate dual-tone mode to layer two different sounds simultaneously.

4.2 Advanced Features

  • Recording and Playback: The piano includes functionality to record your performances and play them back. Consult the control panel for record and playback buttons.
  • Sound Customization: Apply reverb and chorus effects to your sound. Adjust the tempo for metronome or demo songs.
  • MIDI Functionality: Connect the piano to external MIDI devices or computers via the MIDI In/Out ports. This allows for control of software instruments or recording MIDI data. Key sensitivity can also be adjusted.
  • MP3 Player: Insert a USB device into the USB port to play MP3 audio files. Use the integrated controls to play, pause, and adjust the volume of the audio.
  • Headphone Jacks: Two 6.35mm headphone jacks are provided for private practice or duet listening.

The included triple pedal unit offers enhanced expressiveness:

  • Sustain Pedal: (Right pedal) Sustains notes after the keys are released.
  • Sostenuto Pedal: (Middle pedal) Sustains only the notes held down at the moment the pedal is pressed.
  • Soft Pedal: (Left pedal) Reduces the volume and alters the timbre of the notes played.

5. Maintenance

Proper care ensures the longevity and optimal performance of your digital piano.

  • Cleaning: Use a soft, dry cloth to wipe down the piano's surface and keys. Avoid abrasive cleaners or solvents. For stubborn marks, a slightly damp cloth can be used, followed by a dry one.
  • Dust Protection: When not in use, close the piano lid to protect the keys and internal components from dust accumulation.
  • Environmental Conditions: Keep the piano away from direct sunlight, extreme temperatures, and high humidity, which can damage the wood finish and electronic components.
  • Transportation: When moving the piano, ensure it is properly disassembled or handled with care to prevent damage to the legs or main unit.

6. Troubleshooting

If you encounter issues with your digital piano, refer to the following common problems and solutions.

  • No Sound:
    • Ensure the power adapter is securely connected and the piano is turned on.
    • Check the main volume knob and increase it if necessary.
    • If headphones are connected, disconnect them to check speaker output.
    • Verify that no external audio devices are connected to the audio output ports that might be diverting sound.
  • Keys Not Responding or Making Unusual Noise:
    • Ensure no foreign objects are lodged between the keys.
    • If a specific key is not responding, gently press it several times.
    • Unusual mechanical noises (e.g., thumping, buzzing) from weighted keys can sometimes occur. If persistent and disruptive, contact customer support.
  • MIDI Connection Issues:
    • Verify that MIDI cables are correctly connected to the MIDI In/Out ports on both the piano and the external device/computer.
    • Ensure the correct MIDI channels are selected on both the piano and the connected device/software.
    • Check the settings of your external MIDI software or device for proper input recognition.
  • MP3 Playback Problems:
    • Ensure the USB device is properly inserted and contains compatible MP3 files.
    • Check the volume level for MP3 playback.
