Components and Parts
Familiarize yourself with the main components of your sausage stuffer:
- Main Frame: The sturdy stainless steel body that houses the mechanism.
- Cylinder Barrel: The container for the meat filling, made of 304 food-grade stainless steel.
- Piston with Silicone Seal: The component that pushes the meat through the barrel. Features a food-grade silicone piston.
- Crank Handle: Used to operate the piston, offering two speed settings.
- Filling Tubes (Nozzles): Five stainless steel tubes of varying diameters (0.31in, 0.55in, 0.787in, 1.18in, 1.42in) for different sausage sizes.
- Exhaust Valve: A two-way piston valve designed to release air during stuffing, preventing air pockets in sausages.
- Cleaning Brush: A spiral brush for thorough cleaning of the filling tubes and barrel interior.
- Suction Cups: Located at the base for stability during operation.

Setup and Assembly
- Unpacking: Carefully remove all components from the packaging. Inspect for any damage.
- Initial Cleaning: Before first use, thoroughly wash all parts that will come into contact with food (cylinder barrel, piston, filling tubes, etc.) with warm soapy water. Rinse thoroughly and dry.
- Base Placement: Place the stuffer on a stable, flat, and clean surface. Ensure the suction cups at the base are clean and dry for optimal grip. For enhanced stability, especially during heavy use, consider securing the stuffer with C-clamps (not included) to your countertop.
- Attach Cylinder Barrel: Ensure the cylinder barrel is securely attached to the main frame. The barrel can be tilted for easier meat loading. To tilt, rock the plunger upwards and twist out the screw securing the barrel.
- Insert Piston: Lower the piston into the cylinder barrel.
- Attach Filling Tube: Select the desired stainless steel filling tube and securely attach it to the outlet at the bottom of the cylinder barrel.

Operating Instructions
- Prepare Meat Filling: Ensure your sausage meat mixture is properly prepared and chilled.
- Load Meat: Tilt the cylinder barrel (if desired) and carefully load the meat mixture into the barrel. Ensure no large air pockets are trapped.
- Close Barrel: Securely close the cylinder barrel and ensure the piston is properly aligned.
- Select Speed: The stuffer features two speeds:
- Fast Gear: Suitable for quickly filling the sausage casing.
- Slow Gear: Recommended for precise control when filling sausage casings, allowing for fuller sausages and reducing the risk of breakage.
- Attach Casing: Carefully slide the sausage casing onto the chosen filling tube. Leave a small overhang at the end of the tube.
- Begin Stuffing: Slowly turn the crank handle. The piston will descend, pushing the meat through the filling tube and into the casing.

Figure 4: Detail of the two-speed gear mechanism and the exhaust vent for air release.
- Air Release: The integrated two-way piston valve will automatically release trapped air, ensuring smooth filling and preventing air bubbles in your sausages.
- Monitor Filling: Continuously monitor the casing as it fills, guiding it off the tube as needed. Avoid overfilling to prevent bursting.
- Tie Off Sausages: Once the casing is filled, tie off the ends and twist to form individual sausages.
- Refilling: To refill the barrel, use the crank handle to retract the piston. The two-speed function also aids in quickly backing up the plunger.
Using Different Filling Tubes
The stuffer includes five stainless steel filling tubes to accommodate various sausage types and sizes:
- 0.31 inch (7.9mm): Ideal for very thin sausages or snack sticks.
- 0.55 inch (14mm): Suitable for breakfast sausages or small frankfurters.
- 0.787 inch (20mm): Common size for bratwurst or Italian sausages.
- 1.18 inch (30mm): Good for larger sausages like kielbasa or chorizo.
- 1.42 inch (36mm): Best for large diameter sausages or specialty items.

Maintenance and Cleaning
Regular cleaning and maintenance will ensure the longevity and hygienic operation of your LEEVOT Sausage Stuffer.
- Disassembly: After each use, disassemble all parts that came into contact with meat. The design allows for easy detachment of components like the cylinder barrel and filling tubes.
- Washing: Wash all disassembled parts immediately with warm water and a mild dish soap. Use the provided spiral brush for thorough cleaning of the inside of the filling tubes and the cylinder barrel, ensuring no meat residue remains.
- Rinsing: Rinse all parts thoroughly with clean water to remove any soap residue.
- Drying: Dry all components completely before reassembly or storage to prevent water spots and corrosion. Air drying is recommended, or use a clean cloth.
- Main Frame Cleaning: Wipe down the main frame with a damp cloth. Do not immerse the entire machine in water.
- Lubrication: Periodically, apply a small amount of food-grade lubricant to the gears and moving parts of the crank mechanism to ensure smooth operation.
