5. Setup

Before first use, follow these steps:

  1. Unpack: Carefully remove all packaging materials and check for any damage.
  2. Clean: Wash the thermal carafes, filter basket, and permanent filter in warm, soapy water. Rinse thoroughly and dry. Wipe the exterior of the coffee machine with a damp cloth.
  3. First Brew Cycle (Cleaning):
    • Fill the water tank with fresh, cold water up to the MAX level.
    • Place the empty filter basket with the permanent filter (or a paper filter) into its holder.
    • Place an empty thermal carafe on the warming plate.
    • Run a full brewing cycle without coffee powder. Discard the hot water.
    • Repeat this process once or twice to ensure the system is clean.
  4. Position: Place the coffee machine on a stable, flat, heat-resistant surface, away from the edge of the counter.

6. Operating Instructions

6.1 Basic Coffee Brewing

  1. Fill Water Tank: Open the water tank lid and fill with fresh, cold water to the desired level, indicated by the water level indicator. Do not exceed the MAX line.
  2. Add Coffee: Place the permanent filter (or a paper filter) into the removable filter basket. Add the desired amount of ground coffee using the provided measuring spoon. A general guideline is one level spoon per cup.
  3. Insert Filter Basket: Ensure the filter basket is securely placed in its holder.
  4. Place Carafe: Position one or both thermal carafes under the drip outlet. Ensure the carafe lid is properly closed to maintain temperature.
