4. Setup and Connections

4.1 Physical Installation

The EQ-215 is designed for standard 1U rack mounting. Secure the unit into an available rack space using appropriate rack screws (not included). Ensure adequate ventilation around the unit.

4.2 Audio Connections

The equalizer features both XLR balanced and 1/4" TRS unbalanced input and output connectors for each channel. Connect your audio source (e.g., mixer output) to the INPUT jacks and your audio destination (e.g., amplifier input) to the OUTPUT jacks.

4.3 Power Connection

Connect the provided power cable to the AC inlet on the rear panel of the equalizer and then to a suitable power outlet (100V-240V, 50Hz/60Hz).

5. Operation

5.1 Power On/Off

Locate the POWER switch on the front panel. Press the switch to the 'ON' position to power on the unit. The indicator lights will illuminate. Press again to power off.

5.2 Adjusting Frequency Bands

Each channel features 15 slider controls, corresponding to specific frequency bands (e.g., 25Hz, 40Hz, 63Hz, ..., 16KHz). Move the sliders up to boost the frequency or down to cut the frequency. The adjustable range is ±12dB for each band.

5.3 LOW-CUT Switch

The LOW-CUT switch, located near the gain control, activates a high-pass filter. Engaging this switch will attenuate frequencies below a certain point, effectively reducing unwanted low-frequency noise or rumble in your audio signal.

5.4 BYPASS Switch

The BYPASS switch allows you to quickly compare the audio signal with and without equalization. When engaged, the signal bypasses the equalizer's processing, providing a direct comparison for fine-tuning your sound or for troubleshooting purposes.

5.5 Gain Control
