2. Safety Instructions

Please read all safety instructions carefully before installation and operation. Failure to follow these instructions may result in electric shock, fire, or serious injury.

• Electrical Safety: Installation must be performed by a qualified electrician in accordance with local electrical codes and regulations. Ensure the power supply is disconnected before installation, maintenance, or troubleshooting.
• Voltage: This product operates on 220-240 V AC 50/60 Hz. Do not connect to any other voltage.
• IP65 Rating: The IP65 rating ensures protection against dust ingress and low-pressure water jets from any direction. While weather-resistant, avoid submerging the unit in water or exposing it to high-pressure water jets.
• Mounting: Mount the fixture securely on a stable surface. Ensure the mounting location can support the weight of the fixture.
• Heat: The LED panels can become warm during operation. Do not touch the panels directly when the light is on.

3. Package Contents

4. Installation

Before beginning installation, ensure the main power supply is turned off at the circuit breaker to prevent electric shock.

1. Choose Mounting Location: Select a suitable outdoor wall location. The recommended mounting height for optimal motion detection is 1.8 - 2.5 meters (approximately 5.9 - 8.2 feet).
2. Prepare Wiring: Route the electrical wiring from the wall to the fixture's mounting point. Ensure proper sealing to maintain the IP65 rating.
3. Mounting the Base:
   • Detach the mounting plate from the fixture.
   • Place the mounting plate against the wall at the desired height and mark the drilling points.
   • Drill holes and insert the wall plugs.
   • Secure the mounting plate to the wall using the provided screws. If mounting on a corner, use the included corner mounting adapter.
4. Wire Connection: Connect the live, neutral, and ground wires from your electrical supply to the corresponding terminals on the fixture. Ensure all connections are secure and properly insulated.
5. Attach Fixture: Secure the main body of the spotlight to the mounted plate. Ensure it clicks or screws into place firmly.
6. Adjust Spotlight Angles: The two LED panels are independently adjustable. You can swivel them up to 135° horizontally and rotate them up to 90° vertically to direct the light precisely where needed.

5. Operation and Sensor Settings

The NORSU spotlight features an adjustable motion sensor and a dusk sensor for automated operation. Adjust the settings to suit your specific needs.

Motion Sensor (PIR) and Dusk Sensor Settings:

The sensor controls are typically located on the underside of the motion sensor dome. Use a small screwdriver to adjust the dials.

• LUX (Ambient Light Sensor): This dial controls the ambient light level at which the sensor becomes active.
  • Adjust to determine if the light should activate during day, dusk, or only at night.
  • Setting to a higher LUX value (e.g., sun icon) means the light will activate even in brighter conditions.
  • Setting to a lower LUX value (e.g., moon icon) means the light will only activate in darker conditions.
  • Adjustable range: <3-2000 LUX.
• SENS (Sensitivity): This dial adjusts the sensitivity of the motion sensor.
  • Higher sensitivity means the sensor will detect smaller movements or movements at a greater distance.
  • Lower sensitivity reduces the detection range and responsiveness.
  • Detection distance: 5-10 meters (adjustable).
• TIME (Light Duration): This dial sets how long the light remains on after motion is detected and no further motion is sensed.
  • Adjustable delay time: 10 seconds (±3 seconds) to 15 minutes (±2 minutes).

6. Maintenance

The SSC-LUXon NORSU spotlight requires minimal maintenance. Regular cleaning will help maintain its appearance and performance.

• Cleaning: Disconnect power before cleaning. Wipe the fixture with a soft, damp cloth. Do not use abrasive cleaners, solvents, or harsh chemicals, as these can damage the finish or electrical components.
• Inspection: Periodically inspect the fixture for any signs of damage, loose connections, or wear. If any issues are found, consult a qualified electrician.
• LEDs: The LEDs are integrated and not user-replaceable. The expected lifespan is 50,000 hours.
