4. Setup

Preparing your GoodCups reusable filter for brewing is a simple process:

  1. Open the Lid: Gently open the hinged lid of the reusable K-cup filter.
  2. Fill with Coffee: Add your desired amount of ground coffee into the filter basket. Ensure not to overfill, leaving a small gap at the top to allow the lid to close properly.
  3. Close the Lid: Securely close the lid until it clicks into place.

5. Operating Instructions

Once your reusable K-cup filter is prepared, follow these steps to brew your coffee:

  1. Insert into Brewer: Place the filled reusable K-cup filter into the K-cup holder of your compatible Keurig coffee maker. Ensure it is seated correctly.
  2. Close Brewer Lid: Close the lid of your coffee maker firmly.
  3. Select Brew Size: Choose your desired brew size on your coffee maker.
  4. Start Brewing: Press the brew button to begin the coffee brewing cycle.

After brewing, carefully remove the hot K-cup filter from the brewer.

6. Maintenance & Cleaning

Regular cleaning ensures optimal performance and longevity of your GoodCups reusable filters.

  1. Empty Grounds: After each use, open the lid and tap out the used coffee grounds into a trash can or compost bin.
  2. Rinse Thoroughly: Rinse the filter under running water to remove any remaining coffee particles. The stainless steel micro-mesh is designed for easy rinsing.
  3. Dishwasher Safe: For a more thorough cleaning, the filters can be placed on the top rack of your dishwasher.
  4. Dry: Allow the filters to air dry completely before storing or reusing.

7. Troubleshooting

7.1. Grounds in Coffee:

If you find coffee grounds in your brewed coffee, ensure the lid of the reusable filter is securely closed before brewing. Also, check that the filter is properly seated in your Keurig machine's K-cup holder.

7.2. Lid Not Closing Properly:

Ensure the filter is not overfilled with coffee grounds. Overfilling can prevent the lid from closing securely, potentially affecting brewing performance.

7.3. Weak Coffee:

Adjust the amount of coffee grounds used. For a stronger brew, add more coffee grounds, ensuring not to exceed the filter's capacity. You may also need to select a smaller brew size on your Keurig machine.
