This manual provides essential information for safe and proper use, inflation, display, and storage of your balloons.
Safety Information
Please read all safety warnings before use to prevent injury or damage.
- Choking Hazard: Uninflated or broken balloons can pose a choking hazard for children under 8 years of age. Adult supervision is required. Keep uninflated balloons away from children. Discard broken balloons immediately.
- Sharp Objects: Avoid contact with sharp objects, as they can puncture and damage the balloons, leading to rapid deflation or bursting.
- Dirty Surfaces: Keep balloons away from dirty floors or surfaces that may contain debris that could damage the material.
- Direct Sunlight & Heat: Excessive heat or direct, prolonged sunlight can cause the balloons to expand and burst. Inflate in a cool environment and avoid placing in direct sunlight for extended periods.
- Over-inflation: Do not over-inflate the balloons. Over-inflation can cause the balloon to burst, which may result in a loud noise and potential injury. Fill slowly and do not exceed 90% capacity.
What's Included
- Two (2) 40 Inch White Number Balloons (uninflated)
- One (1) Inflation Straw
Setup: Inflation Instructions
These balloons feature a self-sealing valve for easy inflation and deflation.
- Locate the Valve: Find the self-sealing valve opening on the balloon. It is typically a small, flat tab.
- Insert Straw/Pump Nozzle: Gently insert the provided straw or a suitable air pump nozzle into the valve opening. Insert it deep enough to bypass the self-sealing mechanism, but do not force it.
- Inflate Slowly: Begin to inflate the balloon slowly with air (using your breath through the straw or an air pump) or helium (for floating).
- Monitor Inflation: Continue inflating until the balloon is firm but not taut. Do not over-inflate. The balloon should be filled to approximately 90% capacity to prevent bursting.
- Remove Straw/Nozzle: Once inflated, slowly remove the straw or pump nozzle. The self-sealing valve will automatically seal the opening.

Operating: Displaying Your Balloons
Your 40-inch number balloons are designed for versatile display options:
- Hanging: The balloons have small holes on the bottom and top. You can easily hang them using twine, string, or fishing line from ceilings, doorways, or other fixtures.
- Wall Attachment: For a wall display, use tape (preferably painter's tape or balloon-safe adhesive) to secure the balloons to a clean, dry surface.
- Floating (Helium): If inflated with helium, the balloons will float. Ensure they are securely anchored to prevent them from drifting away.

Maintenance: Deflation and Storage
These balloons are reusable if properly deflated and stored.
- Locate the Valve: Find the self-sealing valve opening on the balloon.
- Insert Straw: Gently insert the provided straw into the valve opening until you feel the air begin to release.
- Gently Press: Slowly and gently press on the balloon to expel the air. Continue pressing until the balloon is completely deflated and flat.
- Fold and Store: Once deflated, carefully fold the balloon to minimize creases. Store it in a cool, dry place away from direct sunlight and sharp objects, ready for future use.
Troubleshooting
| Problem | Possible Cause | Solution |
|---|---|---|
| Balloon does not inflate or deflates quickly. | Valve not properly sealed; Puncture/Hole; Straw not inserted deep enough during inflation. | Ensure straw is fully inserted past the valve flap during inflation. Check for visible holes or tears. If punctured, the balloon may not be repairable. |
| Balloon bursts during inflation. | Over-inflation; Exposure to sharp objects or excessive heat. | Inflate slowly and do not exceed 90% capacity. Keep away from sharp objects and heat sources. |
| Balloon does not float with helium. | Insufficient helium; Leak; Balloon size too small for helium lift. | Ensure the balloon is fully inflated with helium. Check for leaks. Note that only balloons filled with helium will float. |
