3. Installation Guide

Proper installation is crucial for optimal performance. Follow these steps carefully:

3.1 Site Preparation

Install the wand on the same side of your gate as the control box.
Position the wand at least 25 feet away from the gate for optimal performance. The recommended installation distance is 13-45 feet from the gate.
Bury the wand 1 inch deep into the ground.
Ensure the wand is buried 2 feet from the driveway edge.
No earth grounding is required for this installation.

3.2 Wiring Instructions

Connect the Driveway Gate Exit Wand Sensor directly to the control board of your gate operator. Refer to the diagrams below for common wiring configurations.

4. Operating Instructions

4.1 Sensitivity Adjustment

The sensitivity of the magnetic field detection can be adjusted using the knob on the Range Adjustment Board. This allows you to customize the detection range from 2 to 12 feet.

Turn the knob clockwise to increase sensitivity and detection range.
Turn the knob counter-clockwise to decrease sensitivity and detection range.
Adjust the sensitivity to prevent false detections from smaller objects like lawnmowers, while ensuring reliable detection of vehicles.

Cable Integrity: Periodically inspect the exposed portions of the 50ft cable for any signs of damage, wear, or rodent activity. Ensure the cable gland remains secure to prevent water ingress.
Environmental Protection: The wand is designed to be buried underground and is weather-resistant. Ensure the burial depth and distance from the driveway edge are maintained to protect it from surface damage.
Sensitivity Check: If you notice changes in detection performance, re-evaluate the sensitivity setting using the adjustment knob on the Range Adjustment Board.
Cleanliness: Keep the area around the buried wand clear of large metal debris or objects that could interfere with its magnetic field detection.

6. Troubleshooting
