2. Safety Information
- Electrical Safety: Installation must be performed by a qualified electrician in accordance with national and local electrical codes. Ensure power is disconnected at the circuit breaker before installation, maintenance, or cleaning.
- Grounding: The fixture must be properly grounded to prevent electrical shock.
- Voltage: Verify that the supply voltage matches the fixture's requirements (110-277Vac).
- Indoor Use Only: This fixture is designed for indoor use and is not water resistant. Do not install in wet or damp locations.
- Handling: Handle the fixture with care to avoid damage to the LED components or housing.
- ETL Certified: This product is ETL certified, ensuring compliance with rigorous electrical safety regulations.
3. Package Contents

Note: Power cable cord is NOT included and must be supplied by the installer. These fixtures are NOT designed to link together.
4. Setup and Installation
The DAKASON 8FT LED Linear Light supports both suspended and flush mount installations. Choose the method appropriate for your application.
4.1 Before Installation
- Turn off power at the circuit breaker before beginning installation.
- Ensure the mounting surface can support the weight of the fixture.
- Gather necessary tools (e.g., drill, screwdriver, wire strippers, measuring tape).
4.2 Suspended Installation
- Mark the desired locations for the suspension points on the ceiling. Ensure they are appropriately spaced for the 8-foot fixture.
- Install the ceiling anchors and hooks for the suspension ropes.
- Attach the suspension ropes to the fixture's mounting brackets. The cable length is adjustable up to 78 inches.
- Lift the fixture and connect the suspension ropes to the ceiling hooks, adjusting the height as needed.
- Perform wiring as described in Section 4.4.

4.3 Flush Mount Installation
- Mark the desired mounting locations on the ceiling for the ceiling mount clips.
- Securely attach the ceiling mount clips to the ceiling using the provided screws and anchors.
- Align the fixture with the installed clips and snap it into place.
- Perform wiring as described in Section 4.4.
4.4 Wiring Instructions
- Open the wiring compartment on the fixture.
- Connect the AC power supply wires (Live, Neutral, Ground) to the corresponding terminals inside the fixture using the provided wire caps. Ensure all connections are secure.
- For 0-10V dimming functionality, connect the dimmer control wires (Dim+ and Dim-) to the designated dimming terminals. A compatible 0-10V dimmer switch (not included) is required. Refer to the dimmer manufacturer's instructions for specific wiring details.
- Close the wiring compartment securely.

5. Operating Instructions
The DAKASON LED Linear Light offers adjustable color temperature and wattage settings to suit your lighting needs.
5.1 Color Temperature (CCT) Selection
The fixture has a selectable CCT switch located on the side of the unit. Before powering on the fixture, slide the switch to choose your desired color temperature:
- 3000K (Warm White): For a cozy and inviting ambiance.
- 4000K (Neutral White): For a balanced and natural light, ideal for general tasks.
- 5000K (Daylight White): For bright, crisp illumination, suitable for task-intensive environments.

5.2 Wattage Selection
A separate wattage selection switch is also located on the side of the fixture. This allows you to adjust the light output (brightness) of the fixture. Select one of the following options before powering on:
- 60W: Provides 6,000 lumens.
- 80W: Provides 8,000 lumens.
- 100W: Provides 10,000 lumens (maximum brightness).

5.3 0-10V Dimming
This fixture is compatible with 0-10V dimmer switches (not included). Once wired correctly (refer to Section 4.4), you can control the brightness from 0% to 100% without flickering or buzzing. Ensure you use a compatible 0-10V dimmer for proper functionality.

6. Maintenance
Regular maintenance ensures optimal performance and longevity of your DAKASON LED Linear Light.
- Cleaning: Disconnect power before cleaning. Use a soft, dry, or slightly damp cloth to wipe the exterior of the fixture. Avoid abrasive cleaners or solvents that could damage the finish or lens.
- Inspection: Periodically inspect the fixture for any signs of damage, loose wiring, or wear. Address any issues promptly.
- LEDs: The LED chips are integrated and not user-replaceable. The fixture is designed for a long lifespan.
