Setup

1. Powering the Device

The AQESO Blood Pressure Monitor offers two power options:

  • AAA Batteries: Insert the 4 included AAA batteries into the battery compartment located on the back of the device, ensuring correct polarity.
  • USB Type-C Cable: Connect the provided USB Type-C cable to the device and to a 5V 1A USB power adapter (not included). Note that the device is not rechargeable and must remain connected to the power source when using the USB cable.

2. Cuff Selection and Attachment

Accurate blood pressure readings depend significantly on using the correct cuff size. Your monitor comes with three adjustable cuffs to fit various arm circumferences:

  • Small Cuff: 7"-9" (17-22 cm)
  • Medium/Large Cuff: 9"-17" (22-42 cm)
  • Extra Large Cuff: 13"-21" (32-52 cm)

To determine your correct cuff size, measure the circumference of your upper arm at the midpoint between your elbow and shoulder. Select the cuff that best fits this measurement.

Attach the selected cuff to the monitor by securely inserting the air tube connector into the air jack on the side of the main unit.

Operating Instructions

1. Proper Measurement Posture

For the most accurate readings, follow these guidelines:

  • Sit upright with your back supported.
  • Place your arm on a flat surface with the cuff at heart level. The gap between the chair and the top of the table should be between 10" to 12".
  • Ensure the air tube runs down the center of your arm.
  • Do not wrap the cuff too tightly or too loosely.
  • Remain still and silent during measurement.

2. Taking a Measurement

The AQESO monitor features a simple one-touch operation:

  1. Once the cuff is correctly positioned on your arm and the device is powered on, press the START/STOP button.
  2. The cuff will automatically inflate and then slowly deflate. The large backlit LCD display will show your systolic pressure, diastolic pressure, and heart rate.
  3. The measurement typically completes in about 30 seconds.

3. Understanding Your Readings

The display shows three key values:

  • SYS (Systolic Pressure): The top number, indicating the pressure in your arteries when your heart beats.
  • DIA (Diastolic Pressure): The bottom number, indicating the pressure in your arteries between beats.
  • PUL (Pulse Rate): Your heart rate in beats per minute.

The monitor also features a WHO (World Health Organization) classification bar on the side of the display, providing a quick visual indication of your blood pressure category (Normal, High-Normal, Serious Pressure).

4. Triple-User Mode and Memory Function

The AQESO monitor supports up to three independent users, with each user able to store up to 99 measurements. This allows families to track their health data over time.

  • Press the MEM button to cycle through user profiles (User 1, User 2, User 3).
  • Once a user is selected, pressing the MEM button again will display previous readings for that user, including date and time.
