Setup

1. Powering the Device

Your radio offers two power options:

  1. AC Power (Plug-in Wall):

    Insert the included AC power cord into the AC power input on the back of the radio. Plug the other end into a standard wall outlet (120V AC, 60Hz). The radio will operate directly from AC power.

  2. Battery Power (Portable):

    Open the battery compartment cover on the back of the radio. Insert 4 new AA batteries, ensuring correct polarity (+/-) as indicated inside the compartment. Close the battery compartment cover securely. The radio will automatically switch to battery power when not connected to AC.

2. Antenna Adjustment

For optimal FM reception, extend the telescopic antenna fully. For AM reception, the radio has a built-in antenna, and you may need to rotate the radio for the best signal.

Operating Instructions

1. Radio Mode (AM/FM Tuning)

  1. Turn the radio on using the power switch (often integrated with the volume knob).
  2. Set the mode switch to either AM or FM.
  3. Slowly rotate the Tuning Dial to scan for radio stations.
  4. Adjust the Volume Knob to your desired listening level.
  5. For FM, extend and adjust the telescopic antenna for the best signal. For AM, rotate the radio itself.

2. Bluetooth Mode

Connect your smartphone or other Bluetooth-enabled device to the radio for wireless audio streaming.

  1. Set the mode switch to Bluetooth. The radio will enter pairing mode, indicated by a flashing light or an audible prompt.
  2. On your device, enable Bluetooth and search for available devices.
  3. Select "Audiocrazy Radio" (or similar name) from the list to pair.
  4. Once paired, you can play audio from your device, and it will stream through the radio's speaker.
  5. Adjust volume using the radio's Volume Knob or your connected device.

3. AUX Input

For devices without Bluetooth, use the AUX input.

  1. Set the mode switch to Bluetooth/AUX.
  2. Connect a 3.5mm audio cable (not included) from your external audio device's headphone jack or line-out to the radio's AUX Input jack.
  3. Start playing audio on your external device.
  4. Adjust volume using the radio's Volume Knob or your external device.

4. Headphone Use

For private listening, connect headphones to the radio.

  1. Plug your headphones into the Headphone Jack on the side of the radio.
  2. The radio's main speaker will automatically mute.
  3. Adjust the volume using the Volume Knob.

Maintenance

  • Cleaning: Wipe the radio with a soft, dry cloth. Do not use liquid cleaners or abrasive materials.
  • Battery Replacement: If using batteries, replace all 4 AA batteries simultaneously when the sound becomes weak or distorted. Do not mix old and new batteries, or different types of batteries.
  • Storage: If storing the radio for an extended period, remove the batteries to prevent leakage. Store in a cool, dry place.
  • Antenna Care: Handle the telescopic antenna gently to avoid bending or breaking.

Troubleshooting

Poor radio reception

  • Rotate the radio for optimal AM reception.
  • Try moving the radio to a different location.
Bluetooth not connecting
  • Radio not in Bluetooth mode.
  • Device too far from the radio.
  • Device already connected to another Bluetooth device.
  • Ensure the mode switch is set to Bluetooth.
  • Move your device closer to the radio (within 10 meters).
  • Disconnect your device from other Bluetooth connections.
No sound from speaker (headphones plugged in) Headphones are connected. Unplug headphones to enable speaker output.
