Setup
Battery Installation
- Locate the battery cover on the back of the device.
- Open the battery cover.
- Insert 4 x 1.5V AA batteries, ensuring correct polarity.
- Close the battery cover securely.

Probe Connection

Device Controls and Display

Button Functions:
- C/F Button: Press to toggle between Celsius (°C) and Fahrenheit (°F) temperature units.
- Backlight Button: Press to turn the display backlight on or off.
- Play Button: Press to start the fluid test.
- Power Button: Long press to turn the tester on or off.
Testing Procedure
- Prepare the Probe: Wipe the test probe clean before insertion to ensure accurate readings.
- Insert Probe: Submerge the testing probe into the transmission fluid reservoir. Ensure the probe tip is fully immersed in the fluid.
- Start Test: Press the Play button to initiate the test.
- View Results: The device interface will display the test results, including fluid transmittance percentage and temperature.

Interpreting Results
The display provides an analog bar graph and a percentage value for fluid transmittance. It also shows the fluid temperature and status indicators:
- OK: Indicates good fluid transmittance.
- Warning (Triangle icon): Suggests the fluid quality is deteriorating.
- Replace (X icon): Indicates the fluid needs immediate replacement.

Maintenance
Cleaning the Probe
After each use, gently wipe the probe tip with a clean, soft cloth to remove any residual fluid. This prevents contamination and ensures accurate future readings.
