5.2 Important Considerations
- In cases where the oil filler cap of certain vehicle models does not allow direct insertion of the testing probe, it is necessary to extract a portion of the engine oil from the vehicle before conducting the test.
- This product relies on optical detection probes to analyze the particulate content in oil. As a result, it is not suitable for analyzing automotive engine oils containing components such as molybdenum disulfide (MoS₂), organic molybdenum, graphene, and similar substances.

6. Maintenance
- After each use, clean the probe thoroughly with a soft, dry cloth to remove any oil residue.
- Store the device in a dry, cool place away from direct sunlight and extreme temperatures.
- Replace batteries when the low battery indicator appears on the display to ensure accurate readings.
7. Troubleshooting
If you encounter issues with your AS503 tester, refer to the following common problems and solutions:
| Problem | Possible Cause | Solution |
|---|---|---|
| Device does not power on | Low or dead batteries; Incorrect battery installation | Replace batteries; Ensure correct polarity |
| Inaccurate readings | Dirty probe; Incorrect oil type selected; Oil temperature too high/low | Clean probe; Verify engine oil type; Allow oil to reach operating temperature |
| Display not working | Device malfunction; Extreme temperature exposure | Contact customer support; Move device to a suitable temperature environment |
