1. Introduction

This manual provides detailed instructions for the assembly, operation, and maintenance of your new Heavy Duty 3-Tier Metal Garage Storage Shelves. Designed for robust storage solutions, this unit features an all-metal structure capable of supporting heavy items, making it suitable for various environments such as garages, warehouses, basements, and more. Please read this manual thoroughly before assembly and use to ensure proper installation and safe operation.

2. Safety Information

WARNING: Failure to follow these safety instructions may result in personal injury or property damage.

• Ensure the shelf is securely mounted to the floor or wall if necessary, and does not exceed the maximum weight capacity of 6000 LBS (2721 kg) to prevent tipping or collapse.
• Distribute weight evenly across shelves. Avoid concentrating heavy loads on one side or corner.
• Do not climb on the shelving unit.
• Keep children and pets away from the shelving unit during assembly and use.
• Wear appropriate safety gear, such as gloves, during assembly to prevent cuts or pinches.
• Inspect the shelving unit regularly for any signs of damage or instability. Do not use if damaged.
• Assemble the unit on a flat, stable surface.

3. Package Contents

5. Assembly Instructions

This shelving unit features a no-screw and no-nut design for quick assembly, typically within 10 minutes. It is recommended to wear the provided gloves during assembly.

1. Prepare the Area: Choose a flat, stable surface for assembly. Ensure sufficient space around the unit.
2. Assemble the Vertical Posts: Connect the two halves of each vertical support post by sliding them together. Use the rubber mallet to gently tap them into place if needed, ensuring a secure fit.
3. Attach Bottom Beams: Begin by attaching the horizontal beams for the bottom shelf to the vertical posts. Insert the beam tabs into the slots on the posts. Ensure all four beams (two long, two short) are securely seated. Use the rubber mallet to tap them down for a tight connection.
4. Place Bottom Shelf Panel: Carefully place one wire mesh shelving panel onto the assembled bottom beams.
5. Attach Middle Beams: Determine the desired height for your middle shelf. Attach the horizontal beams for the middle shelf to the vertical posts at the chosen height, following the same method as the bottom beams.
6. Place Middle Shelf Panel: Place the second wire mesh shelving panel onto the middle beams.
7. Attach Top Beams: Attach the horizontal beams for the top shelf to the vertical posts.
8. Place Top Shelf Panel: Place the third wire mesh shelving panel onto the top beams.
9. Final Check: Ensure all beams are fully seated and the unit is stable. Gently rock the unit to confirm stability.

6. Operating Instructions

6.1. Loading the Shelves

• Distribute items evenly across each shelf to maintain balance and prevent stress points.
• Do not exceed the maximum weight capacity of 2000 LBS (907 kg) per shelf or 6000 LBS (2721 kg) for the entire unit.
• Place heavier items on lower shelves for increased stability.

6.2. Adjusting Shelf Height

The height of each shelf is adjustable to accommodate items of various sizes. To adjust a shelf:

1. Empty the shelf you wish to adjust.
2. Carefully lift the wire mesh panel off the horizontal beams.
3. Using the rubber mallet, gently tap upwards on the horizontal beams to dislodge them from the vertical posts.
4. Re-insert the horizontal beams into the desired slots on the vertical posts. Ensure they are level and fully seated. Use the rubber mallet to secure them.
5. Replace the wire mesh panel onto the adjusted beams.

7. Maintenance

• Cleaning: Wipe the shelving unit with a dry cloth to remove dust and debris. Avoid using abrasive cleaners or harsh chemicals that could damage the powder-coated finish.
• Inspection: Periodically check all connections to ensure they remain secure. Re-tap any loose beams with the rubber mallet if necessary.
• Rust Prevention: While the unit has a powder-coated finish, prolonged exposure to moisture can lead to rust. Store in a dry environment.
