Setup
- Unpacking: Carefully remove all packaging materials from the kettle and its base. Retain packaging for future storage or transport if needed.
- Initial Cleaning: Before first use, fill the kettle with fresh water to the MAX line. Boil the water, then discard it. Repeat this process 2-3 times to remove any manufacturing residues.
- Positioning the Base: Place the power base on a dry, flat, stable, and heat-resistant surface. Ensure the power cord is not dangling where it can be pulled or tripped over.
- Connecting to Power: Plug the power cord into a standard electrical outlet.
Operating Instructions
- Filling the Kettle: Remove the kettle from its power base. Open the lid and fill the kettle with the desired amount of fresh water. Do not fill below the MIN line or above the MAX line indicated on the water level window. Overfilling may cause boiling water to spill out.
- Placing on Base: Close the lid securely. Place the kettle back onto its power base. The cordless design allows for placement at any angle.
- Starting Boil: Press the ON/OFF switch down to the "ON" position. The indicator light will illuminate, signaling that the kettle is heating.
- Automatic Shut-Off: Once the water reaches a rolling boil, the kettle will automatically shut off, and the indicator light will extinguish.
- Pouring: Carefully lift the kettle from the base using the cool-touch handle. Pour the hot water slowly and steadily. The handle is designed to remain cool during operation.
- Re-boiling: If you need to re-boil water, wait a few moments for the internal thermostat to reset before pressing the ON/OFF switch again.

Cleaning and Maintenance
Regular cleaning and maintenance will ensure the longevity and optimal performance of your Chantal Electric Kettle.
Daily Cleaning
- Exterior: Unplug the kettle and allow it to cool completely. Wipe the exterior with a soft, damp cloth. Do not use abrasive cleaners or scouring pads, as they may scratch the stainless steel finish.
- Interior: Rinse the interior of the kettle with fresh water after each use. For thorough cleaning, hand wash the interior with a mild dish soap and a soft sponge. Ensure all soap residue is rinsed away.
Descaling (Mineral Deposit Removal)
Mineral deposits (limescale) can build up inside the kettle over time, especially in areas with hard water. This can affect heating efficiency and taste. Descale your kettle regularly, depending on water hardness.
- Vinegar Method: Fill the kettle with 2 cups of white vinegar and 2 cups of water. Let it stand for at least 30 minutes, or up to several hours for heavy buildup. Do not boil this mixture.
- Citric Acid Method: Alternatively, dissolve 1 tablespoon of citric acid powder in 4 cups of water.
- Rinsing: After soaking, discard the solution. Fill the kettle with fresh water and boil it. Discard this water. Repeat the boiling and discarding process 2-3 times to ensure all descaling solution is removed.
Note: Never immerse the power base, cord, or plug in water or any other liquid.
