Product Overview

The VEVOR 8KW Diesel Air Heater is designed to provide efficient and reliable heating for various applications, including cars, RVs, SUVs, trailers, campers, vans, boats, and garages. This model features automatic altitude adjustment, Bluetooth app control, and multiple safety features to ensure a comfortable and secure heating experience.

1. Setup and Installation

Proper installation is crucial for the safe and efficient operation of your diesel air heater. Follow these steps carefully.

1.1 Unboxing and Component Identification

Upon unboxing, verify all components are present as listed in the package content. The main unit, fuel tank, exhaust pipe, intake pipe, fuel pump, fuel filter, remote control, LCD display, wiring harness, and various clamps and accessories should be included.

1.2 Fuel Tank Setup

The fuel tank is provided separately. You will need to install the fuel line connector into the tank. Drill a 5/16 inch (8mm) hole in a suitable flat spot on the fuel tank, ensuring it is positioned to allow maximum fuel draw. Insert the fuel line connector with the provided O-rings to ensure a tight seal. Connect the green fuel line to the connector.

1.3 Exhaust and Intake System

Connect the metal exhaust pipe to the designated exhaust port on the heater. Ensure the exhaust pipe is routed away from flammable materials and has a slight downward slope to prevent condensation buildup. Secure with hose clamps. The black intake pipe connects to the air intake port. An air filter should be installed on the intake pipe.

1.4 Fuel Pump and Wiring

Install the fuel pump in its bracket. The fuel pump has an arrow indicating the direction of fuel flow; ensure it points towards the heater. Connect the fuel line from the tank to the fuel filter, then from the fuel filter to the fuel pump (following the arrow), and finally from the fuel pump to the heater's fuel inlet. Connect the wiring harness to the heater and the fuel pump. The main power wires (red and black) should be connected to a 12V or 24V power source (e.g., vehicle battery). Ensure a fuse is in place for safety.

1.5 Control Panel and Remote

Connect the LCD control panel to the wiring harness. The remote control can be used to operate the heater from a distance.

2. Operating Instructions

The VEVOR Diesel Air Heater offers multiple control methods for ease of use.

2.1 Initial Startup and Fuel Priming

For the first use, or after running out of fuel, the system needs to be primed to remove air from the fuel lines. This may require several attempts of starting and stopping the heater. Alternatively, you can manually prime the fuel pump by holding the up and down arrows on the control panel simultaneously. Monitor the fuel line to ensure fuel is flowing without air bubbles. Stop manual priming once fuel reaches the heater to avoid overfilling the burn chamber.

2.2 Starting the Heater

Press and hold the power button on the LCD control panel for two seconds. The heater will initiate its startup sequence, including heating the glow plug and starting the fan. The LCD screen will display the current status.

2.3 Adjusting Temperature and Power

Use the up and down arrows on the LCD control panel or the remote control to adjust the heating power (levels 1-6) or set a desired temperature between 46 °F-96.8 °F (8 °C-36 °C). The heater features constant temperature control.

2.4 Bluetooth App Control

Download the dedicated app (HeatGenie) from your smartphone's app store. Scan the QR code located on the back of the switch to connect via Bluetooth. The app allows you to remotely control the heater, adjust settings, and monitor its status from up to 98 ft (30 m) away. You can also set a scheduled on/off time.

2.5 Shutting Down the Heater

Press and hold the power button until
