1. Introduction
This manual provides essential information for the safe assembly, operation, and maintenance of your vidaXL Greenhouse with Steel Structure (Model 3188039). Please read these instructions carefully before beginning assembly and retain them for future reference. This greenhouse is designed to protect plants from adverse weather conditions and provide an optimal growing environment.
2. Safety Information
- Foundation: It is highly recommended to add a foundation to the greenhouse for greater strength and stability, especially in windy conditions.
- Snow Load: The roof of this greenhouse is not designed to withstand heavy snowfall. In areas prone to heavy snow, measures must be taken to remove snow promptly or disassemble the greenhouse during winter months.
- Wind Exposure: Ensure the greenhouse is securely anchored to the ground to prevent damage from strong winds. Additional anchoring may be required in exposed locations.
- Assembly: Always assemble the greenhouse with at least two people. Wear appropriate safety gear, such as gloves, to prevent injuries.
- Location: Choose a level, well-drained site for installation, away from overhead power lines or trees that could fall.
- Children: Keep children away from the assembly area. Do not allow children to play unsupervised inside or around the greenhouse.
- Sharp Edges: Be aware of potential sharp edges on steel components during assembly.
3. Package Contents
Before starting assembly, verify that all parts listed below are present and undamaged. If any parts are missing or damaged, contact customer support.

- Assembly Instructions (this manual)
4. Setup and Assembly
Follow these steps carefully for proper assembly. It is recommended to have at least two people for this process.
4.1 Site Preparation
Select a flat, level area for your greenhouse. Clear the area of any debris, rocks, or vegetation. Consider the path of the sun to maximize light exposure for your plants.
4.2 Assembling the Steel Frame
- Unpack all steel frame components and lay them out. Identify the different lengths and shapes.
- Begin by assembling the base frame. Connect the horizontal and vertical base pipes using the provided connectors and fasteners. Ensure all connections are secure.
- Attach the arched roof sections to the base frame. Work systematically from one end to the other, ensuring each arch is properly seated and secured.
- Install any crossbars or support beams as indicated in the diagrams to reinforce the structure.

4.3 Installing the PE Cover
- Carefully unfold the PE cover. It is easier to do this on a calm, non-windy day.
- Drape the cover over the assembled steel frame, ensuring it is centered and evenly distributed.
- Secure the cover to the frame according to the instructions, typically by tying it down or using clips provided. Ensure the cover is taut to prevent flapping in the wind.
- Position the roll-up door and mesh windows correctly.

4.4 Anchoring the Greenhouse
Use the provided ground anchors or stakes to secure the base of the greenhouse firmly to the ground. For increased stability, especially in areas with strong winds, consider adding a more robust foundation or additional anchoring points.

Figure 5: A technical diagram illustrating the overall dimensions of the greenhouse: 400 cm (157.5 inches) length, 300 cm (118.1 inches) width, and 200 cm (78.7 inches) height. The door dimensions are 100 cm (39.4 inches) width and 185 cm (72.8 inches) height, and window dimensions are 40 cm (15.7 inches) by 40 cm (15.7 inches).
5. Operating Instructions
5.1 Accessing the Greenhouse
The greenhouse features a roll-up door with a zipper for easy access. Unzip the door completely and roll it up, securing it with the provided buckles or ties to keep it open.

Figure 7: Detail of the buckle and strap system used to secure the roll-up door in an open position, facilitating access and ventilation.
5.2 Ventilation
The greenhouse is equipped with four side roll-up mesh windows to optimize air circulation. Roll up the window flaps and secure them to allow fresh air in and regulate temperature and humidity. Close them during cold weather or to retain heat.

6. Maintenance
- Cleaning the Cover: Periodically clean the PE cover with mild soap and water to remove dirt, dust, and algae buildup. Avoid abrasive cleaners or brushes that could damage the material. Rinse thoroughly.
- Frame Inspection: Regularly inspect the steel frame for any signs of rust, loose connections, or damage. Tighten any loose bolts and apply rust-preventative paint to any exposed steel if necessary.
- Cover Inspection: Check the PE cover for rips, tears, or weak spots. Small damages can often be repaired with specialized repair tape for polyethylene.
- Anchoring: Periodically check the ground anchors to ensure they are still firmly in place, especially after strong winds or heavy rain.
- Winter Care: In regions with heavy snowfall, it is advisable to remove the PE cover or disassemble the greenhouse to prevent structural damage from snow accumulation.
7. Troubleshooting
- Greenhouse unstable/wobbly: Ensure all frame connections are securely tightened. Verify that the ground anchors are properly installed and holding firm. Consider adding a more robust foundation or additional anchoring points.
- Water pooling on roof: This indicates the cover is not taut enough or the frame is sagging. Re-tension the cover. If the frame is sagging, inspect for damaged or improperly assembled components. Remember, the roof is not designed for heavy snow loads.
- Poor ventilation/high humidity: Ensure all four mesh windows are open when ventilation is desired. Check that the roll-up door is also open. Consider using a small fan inside for improved air circulation if needed.
- Zipper sticking/damaged: Apply a silicone-based lubricant to the zipper teeth. If the zipper is damaged, it may require repair or replacement of the cover section.
- Cover tearing: Small tears can be repaired with specialized PE repair tape. For large tears, the cover may need replacement. Ensure the cover is not rubbing against sharp edges of the frame.
