Setup

Charging the Battery

To charge your FirstPower VB005 battery, use a compatible USB-C PD (Power Delivery) charger. The battery supports bi-directional 60W PD fast charging. Connect the USB-C cable from the charger to the USB-C port on the battery. The battery's indicator lights will show the charging status.

Mounting the Battery

Operating Instructions

Powering Devices

Connect your devices to the appropriate output ports on the battery:

  • D-TAP Ports: Use for devices requiring D-TAP power input, such as professional cameras, monitors, or LED lights.
  • USB-C Port: Provides power to USB-C compatible devices like laptops, tablets, and smartphones.
  • USB-A Port: Use for charging smartphones and other USB-A powered accessories.

Checking Battery Level

Press the power button located on the side of the battery. The five blue LED indicators will illuminate to show the remaining battery level. Each light typically represents approximately 20% of the battery's charge.

Maintenance

  • Storage: Store the battery in a cool, dry place away from direct sunlight and extreme temperatures. For long-term storage, charge the battery to approximately 50-70% capacity.
  • Cleaning: Use a soft, dry cloth to clean the battery's exterior. Do not use harsh chemicals or abrasive materials.
  • Charging Cycles: Lithium-ion batteries have a limited number of charge cycles. To prolong battery life, avoid fully discharging the battery frequently.

Troubleshooting
