Setup and Installation

Pairing Instructions

The remote switch must be paired with a compatible HAPYTHDA remote outlet, light socket, or receiver (sold separately) to function. The pairing process typically involves these steps:

1. Ensure your HAPYTHDA receiver is plugged into a power outlet and is in pairing mode (refer to your receiver's manual for specific instructions on entering pairing mode).
2. Press and hold the ON/OFF button on the remote switch until the indicator light on the remote or receiver confirms successful pairing.
3. Test the connection by pressing the ON/OFF button to control the connected device.

Mounting the Remote Switch

The remote switch is portable and can be placed anywhere. For fixed placement, use the included adhesive stripe:

1. Clean the desired mounting surface to ensure it is dry and free of dust or grease.
2. Peel off the protective film from one side of the adhesive stripe and apply it to the back of the remote switch.
3. Peel off the protective film from the other side of the adhesive stripe and firmly press the remote switch onto the cleaned surface for several seconds.

Operation

Basic On/Off Control

Once paired, simply press the large button on the remote switch to toggle the connected device (e.g., light, appliance) ON or OFF.

Range and Performance

The remote switch utilizes RF (Radio Frequency) technology, providing a wireless control range of up to 300 feet outdoors and 100 feet indoors. This range is sufficient to penetrate walls and windows without interfering with other electronic devices.

Programmable and Expandable Features

The HAPYTHDA wireless system is designed for flexibility:

• One Switch, Multiple Receivers: You can program a single remote switch to control multiple HAPYTHDA receivers simultaneously. This allows for convenient control of several lights or appliances with one press.
• Multiple Switches, One Receiver: Conversely, multiple remote switches can be paired to control a single HAPYTHDA receiver. This is useful for controlling a device from different locations within your home.

Note: HAPYTHDA remote outlets, light sockets, and receivers are sold separately and are required for the remote switch to function.

Maintenance

Battery Replacement

The remote switch is powered by one CR2032 battery, which is included and pre-installed. The battery is designed for long-lasting performance, typically providing 6-8 years of life without replacement under normal usage conditions. When the remote's performance degrades or the indicator light no longer illuminates, it may be time to replace the battery.

To replace the battery:

1. Carefully open the battery compartment on the back of the remote switch.
2. Remove the old CR2032 battery.
3. Insert a new CR2032 battery with the positive (+) side facing up.
4. Close the battery compartment securely.

Troubleshooting

• Remote switch not responding: Ensure the remote switch is within range of the receiver. Verify the receiver is powered on. Re-pair the remote switch with the receiver following the pairing instructions in this manual. Check the remote's battery and replace if necessary.
• Intermittent control: This could be due to interference. Try repositioning the remote or receiver. Ensure no large metal objects are blocking the signal path.
• Indicator light not illuminating: The battery may be depleted. Replace the CR2032 battery.
