4. Installation and Setup

Installation Steps (Summary):

1. Prepare the countertop cutout according to the specified dimensions.
2. Ensure adequate ventilation space around the hob.
3. Connect the hob to a suitable gas supply line by a qualified technician.
4. Install the battery for the auto-ignition system (if not pre-installed).
5. Place the hob securely into the cutout or on a stable surface for freestanding use.
6. Position the cast iron pan supports correctly on each burner.

5. Operating Instructions

Igniting a Burner:

1. Ensure the gas supply is open.
2. Push down and turn the corresponding control knob counter-clockwise to the 'High Flame' position.
3. The auto-ignition system will spark, igniting the gas.
4. Once the flame is lit, hold the knob for a few seconds before releasing to ensure the flame remains stable.
5. Adjust the flame intensity by turning the knob between the 'High Flame' and 'Simmer' positions.

Turning Off a Burner:

Turn the control knob clockwise until it clicks back to the 'Off' position. Ensure the flame is completely extinguished.

6. Maintenance and Cleaning

Regular cleaning and maintenance will prolong the life of your hob and ensure optimal performance.

General Cleaning:

• Always ensure the hob is cool before cleaning.
• Use a soft cloth and mild detergent for the toughened glass surface. Avoid abrasive cleaners.
• Remove and clean the cast iron pan supports and burners regularly. They can be washed with warm soapy water.
• Ensure all parts are completely dry before reassembling and using the hob.

Burner Maintenance:

Periodically check the burner ports for any blockages. Use a soft brush or needle to clear any debris to ensure an even flame.

7. Troubleshooting

If you encounter any issues with your hob, refer to the following common troubleshooting steps:

• Burner not igniting: Check if the gas supply is open. Ensure the battery for auto-ignition is correctly installed and has sufficient charge. Clean the spark plug and burner ports.
• Irregular flame: Clean the burner ports to remove any blockages. Ensure the burner caps are correctly seated.
• Gas smell: Immediately turn off the gas supply. Open windows and ventilate the area. Do not operate any electrical switches. Contact customer support if the smell persists.
• Knob stuck or difficult to turn: Ensure no food debris or liquid has entered the knob mechanism. Clean around the knob base.
