5. Installation

5.1 Safety Precautions

  • Always disconnect power at the main circuit breaker before installing or servicing the thermostat.
  • Installation should be performed by a qualified electrician in accordance with local electrical codes.
  • Ensure all wiring connections are secure to prevent electrical hazards.

5.2 Wiring Diagram

Refer to the following diagram for correct wiring connections. The thermostat is designed for water heating systems and requires connection to an external sensor and actuators (NO/NC).

  1. Connect the Live (L) and Neutral (N) wires from your AC230V power supply to the corresponding terminals on the thermostat.
  2. Connect the external sensor wires to the designated sensor terminals.
  3. Connect the actuators (e.g., for underfloor heating valves) to the appropriate NO (Normally Open) or NC (Normally Closed) terminals as required by your heating system.

5.3 Physical Installation

  1. Choose a suitable location on an interior wall, away from direct sunlight, drafts, or heat sources, at approximately 1.5 meters (5 feet) above the floor.
  2. Mount the backplate of the thermostat to the wall using the provided screws, ensuring it is level. The installation hole distance is 60mm.
  3. Complete the wiring as per the diagram in Section 5.2.
  4. Carefully attach the front panel of the thermostat to the mounted backplate, ensuring it clicks securely into place.
  5. Restore power to the thermostat at the main circuit breaker.

6. Operation

6.1 Display Overview

The LCD screen provides various information and indicators. Refer to the diagram below for a detailed breakdown of the display elements and buttons.

  1. Week Indicator: Displays the current day of the week.
  2. Lock Indicator: Shows when the child lock function is active.
  3. Floor Temp: Indicates the floor temperature (if external sensor is used for floor heating).
  4. Room Temp: Displays the current ambient room temperature.
  5. Manual Mode: Icon indicating manual operation mode.
  6. Program Mode: Icon indicating programmable mode.
  7. ECO Mode: Icon for energy-saving mode.
  8. Heat On: Indicates when the heating system is active.
  9. Power Button: Turns the thermostat ON/OFF.

6.2 Basic Operation

  1. Power ON/OFF: Press the Power button (9) to turn the thermostat on or off.
  2. Adjusting Temperature: In manual mode, press the Up (+) (14) or Down (-) (15) buttons to adjust the desired set temperature. The new setting will be saved automatically.
  3. Setting Time and Day:
    • Press and hold the Time button (11) for 3 seconds. The hour display will flash.
    • Use the Up (+) or Down (-) buttons to adjust the hour.
    • Press the Time button again to move to minute adjustment, then day adjustment.
    • Press the Power button (9) or wait a few seconds to exit and save.

6.3 Programming Mode (5+1+1 Schedule)

The thermostat allows for 7-day programmable scheduling with 6 time periods per day (5 weekdays, 1 Saturday, 1 Sunday). This enables you to set different temperatures for specific times to optimize comfort and energy savings.

  1. Press the Time button (11) to enter programming mode. The "Program" icon (6) will appear.
  2. The first time period (e.g., "1" for Monday-Friday, 06:00) will flash. Use Up (+) or Down (-) to adjust the start time for this period.
  3. Press the Time button again to adjust the temperature for this period.
  4. Repeat this process for all 6 time periods for weekdays (5+1+1).
  5. After setting all weekday periods, the thermostat will move to Saturday's schedule, then Sunday's.
  6. Press the Power button (9) or wait a few seconds to exit and save the programming.

6.4 Child Lock Function

To prevent accidental changes to settings, the thermostat features a child lock function.

  • Activate Child Lock: Press and hold the Up (+) (14) and Down (-) (15) buttons simultaneously for 3 seconds. The lock icon (2) will appear on the display.
  • Deactivate Child Lock: Press and hold the Up (+) (14) and Down (-) (15) buttons simultaneously for 3 seconds again. The lock icon will disappear.

7. Maintenance

  • Cleaning: Wipe the thermostat's surface with a soft, dry cloth. Do not use abrasive cleaners or solvents.
  • Inspection: Periodically check the wiring connections for any signs of wear or looseness.
  • Avoid Obstructions: Ensure the thermostat is not obstructed by furniture, curtains, or other objects that could affect its temperature sensing accuracy.

8. Troubleshooting
