Setup
Before first use, ensure your shaver is fully charged and all components are properly assembled.
What's Included

Initial Charging
- Connect the charging cable to the 5-in-1 SmartCare Center or directly to the shaver.
- Plug the charger into a power outlet.
- Place the shaver into the SmartCare Center or connect it directly to the charging cable. The battery indicator lights will illuminate to show charging progress.
- Allow the shaver to fully charge before first use (approximately 1 hour for a full charge, or 5 minutes for a quick shave). A full charge provides up to 60 minutes of cordless shaving.

Operating Instructions
Your Braun Series 8 shaver is designed for both wet and dry use, offering versatility and comfort.
Shaving
- Dry Shaving: For best results, shave before washing your face. Hold the shaver at a right angle (90°) to your skin and stretch your skin with your free hand to ensure hairs stand upright.
- Wet Shaving: The shaver is 100% waterproof and can be used with foam, gel, or even under the shower. Apply shaving foam or gel to your face, then proceed with shaving as usual. Rinse the shaver head under running water during and after use.
- The 40-degree swiveling head and floating blades adapt gently to facial contours, ensuring closeness and skin comfort.
- Braun's unique Sonic Technology uses 10,000 micro-vibrations to help capture more hair while gently gliding over the skin.

Using the ProTrimmer
The integrated precision ProTrimmer slides out from the back of the shaver for accurate sideburn shaping and to capture fine hairs.
- Slide the ProTrimmer up to engage it.
- Use the trimmer for precise styling of sideburns, mustache, or beard lines.
- Slide the ProTrimmer back down when finished.

Cleaning with SmartCare Center
The 5-in-1 SmartCare Center provides a convenient way to clean, lubricate, dry, and charge your shaver, making it like new every day.
- Ensure the cleaning cartridge is inserted into the SmartCare Center.
- Place the shaver head-down into the SmartCare Center.
- Press the start button on the SmartCare Center to initiate the cleaning cycle.
- The SmartCare Center will automatically select the appropriate program, clean, lubricate, and dry the shaver.
Manual Cleaning
- After each use, especially with foam or gel, rinse the shaver head under warm running water until all residue is removed.
- For a more thorough cleaning, remove the shaving head and use the provided cleaning brush to remove any trapped hairs.
- Allow the shaver head to air dry completely before reattaching or storing.

Replacement of Shaving Parts
For continued optimal performance, it is recommended to replace the shaving head (cassette) every 18 months and the cleaning cartridge every 2 months (for a hygienically clean shave).
